Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un système de fixation d'os, qui comprend un élément plaque (4) possédant une face supérieure et une face de contact et comportant au moins un trou (10). Chacun desdits trous possède une première longueur d'extrémité, dont la section transversale s'étend depuis la face supérieure, et une seconde longueur d'extrémité, biseautée vers la face de contact (11) de façon à atteindre une section transversale inférieure à la première section transversale. Le système selon l'invention comporte une vis à os (22) possédant une extrémité distale et une extrémité proximale élargie (24) présentant une section transversale complémentaire à celle de la seconde longueur d'extrémité du trou, et un élément de verrouillage (26) destiné à être reçu et verrouillé dans la première longueur d'extrémité du trou. L'élément de verrouillage peut ainsi fixer l'extrémité proximale de la vis à os (22) contre la seconde longueur d'extrémité du trou, l'extrémité distale faisant saillie depuis cette dernière afin de fixer solidement l'élément plaque à une partie d'un os. L'extrémité proximale élargie (24) de la vis à os peut s'étendre au-delà de la face de contact (11) de l'élément plaque lorsqu'elle est fixée contre la seconde longueur d'extrémité du trou à l'aide de l'élément de verrouillage. Ainsi, l'extrémité élargie empêche la face de contact de la plaque de venir en prise avec la surface osseuse (25).
