Description

AMPLIFYING MODULE FOR UNIVERSAL STETHOSCOPES WITH PROTECTION KEYAGAINST NOISE
Technical Sector
The object of this patent is an amplifying module for the universal stethoscopes (auxiliary medical device for human and Bnimal clinical examination) whose development focused on a more advanced use for such device, as well as on offering a greater comfort and protection for the user - together with a better economic suitability for such incorporations. Technique State
Amplified stethoscopes are not new. However, the devices have to be purchased as a whole and the user, who has already purchased a conventional stethoscope (with no amplifying feature) has no other option but acquire the whole new thing, which represents a certain cost and becomes not very rational once the user already owns a stethoscope and the only element he/she needs is the amplifying module.
Another adverse situation is that the models in the market have difficulty to exclude, in a practical way, the noise which is dispensable during the exam. .Explaining the invention
Having in mind all these problems and aiming at solving them, the amplifying module for the universal stethoscopes with a protection key against noise was developed, object of this patent, and it allows the owner of a conventional stethoscope to use this amplifying module by means of a simple section in the tube of his/her stethoscope and the connections of the sectioned edges to the amplifying module, so that he/she can use the amplifying feature with a reduced cost - as it was not necessary to invest in order to have an amplified stethoscope.
On the other hand, the device has a protection key against noise (inopportune sounds during the exam) and everything the user has to do is press the appropriate key, the protection key against noise; this is enough to access the amplifying feature, avoiding the need to control it, using the volume and ON/OFF keys, through the potentiometer, which are neither efficient nor practical. The comfort such key offers, is of paramount importance as it protects the ears against unpleasant noises. Brief description of the drawings
The attached drawings show the amplifying module for universal stethoscopes with protection key against noise, object of this patent, as follows: fig. 1 shows the device from a exploded perspective fig. 2 shows a possible electronic circuit for the amplifying module fig. 3 shows the assembled device and from a certain perspective fig.4 shows the steps to connect the amplifying device with the other components of a universal stethoscope.
As shown in the figures listed above the amplifying module for universal stethoscopes with protection key against noise, object of this patent, consists of: an amplifying unit (1) developed from a electronic circuit project that only represents a possible amplifying model ( fig.2 ) in a solid box divided into a front section (2.a ) and a rear section (2.b ) with connection terminals for universal stethoscopes, an inlet (3.a ) and an outlet (3.b). The amplifying unit (1) has, among other components, a microphone (4) to capture the sounds that will be amplified, a loudspeaker (5) to reproduce the amplified sounds, a potentiometer (6) to control volume and ON/OFF, a jack ( plug ) (7) for connection (user option) with earplugs and a protection key against noise (8) which allows the immediate control of undesired noises. At the front section ( 2.a ) there is a removable cover (9) that gives access to battery compartment (10), holder of the circuit's feeding element, one battery (11).
In this configuration, by means of a simple section in the tube (12) of the user's stethoscope, it is possible to connect ( fig .4) the stethoscope to the amplifying module for universal stethoscopes with protection key against noise.

Claims

CUVIMS
The amplifying module for universal stethoscopes with protection key against noise has an amplifying unit (1) that is characterized by its connectivity with universal stethoscopes which belong to the users.
Development of the amplifying module from a project of a possible amplifier's electronic circuit ( fig.2 ) characterized by its reduced dimensions and weight as well as for being easily industrialized.
The amplifying module comes in a solid box divided into two parts, a front section ( 2.a ) and a rear section (2.b ) with an inlet (3.a ) and an outlet (3.b) that will connect to the universal stethoscope. The amplifying unit has, among other components, a microphone (4), a loudspeaker (5), a potentiometer (6), a jack "plug" ( 7) and a protection key against noise (8).
The box's front section (2.a) has a removable cover (9) which gives access to the battery compartment (10).
