Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour réduire les émissions de VOC issues du fumier. A cet effet, un acide est appliqué au fumier pour abaisser son pH suffisamment pour réduire les émissions de VOC qu'il produit. De préférence, les émissions de VOC sont réduites d'au moins environ 20 %. Les émissions de VOC peuvent être réduites en limitant la quantité de micro-organismes qui produisent des VOC dans le fumier. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, l'acide est du bisulfate de sodium. L'invention peut s'appliquer en particulier à la réduction des émissions de VOC provenant de fumier bovin.
