Abstract

The invention relates to a meal profile, for production of the frame of a fire door, said profile being provided for fixing to a dry wall and comprising a first part (2) and a second part (3), whereby said first and second parts (2, 3) are separated by a connector piece (4). The connector piece (4) comprises at least one series (7) of material abstractions (8) in the region of the connector piece (4) adjacent to the first part (2), said material abstractions (8) being embodied to permit a deformation of the connector piece (4) around said material abstractions on expansion of the first part (2) on exposure thereof to fire, such that the first part (2) moves away from the second part (3) when deforming on exposure of the first part (2) to fire.
