Abstract

A shelving unit provided with a set of rectangular shelves (1) supported on intermediate bars each divided into a set of sections (5) that have a length equal to the spacing between the shelves (1) and are joined together via a threaded rod (7) extending through a plurality of through-holes (3) in each shelf (1). A leg (9) is provided under the lowermost shelf (1) to stabilise the shelving. Each shelf (1) is assembled from a profile section having two horizontal walls interconnected via inserts, a horizontal groove (4) in one longitudinal side edge surface, and a recess (2) provided in each large side optionally for attaching sliding doors. The topmost shelf (1) is attached to a supporting wall via two angle brackets (10) that have a levelling function to compensate for unevenness of the floor.

Shelving

Field of the Invention The present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to a modular shelving, with a variable number of horizontal shelves and using support bars as separators for the contents of the shelves. Background of the invention

The sector of the technique to which this invention belongs is the construction of modular shelves, and by extension to the construction of furniture. Modular shelves that incorporate a more or less reduced number of components are known. Thus, the shelf described in document ES 2015790 describes a modular shelf, whose method of attachment, both to the wall and between the different pieces of the shelf, requires a reduced number of pieces but has the disadvantage of requiring bulky support structures.

The shelf whose structure is disclosed in document ES 2011712, has an even smaller number of elements, requiring smaller support structures, but requiring large-sized parts that reduce the shelf space.

Modular shelves that achieve the flexibility of configurations offered by the shelving object of the present invention are not known by the applicant, by a structure as simple as that described, and that allow such a high use of the shelf surface. Description of the invention The subject of the present invention is an adjustable shelf in the number of shelves, width and height of the assembly.

This shelf allows a simple assembly in the place where it will be used, and the realization of various configurations using a limited number of elements, these being standard, and offering a shelf in which the surface of the shelves is optimally used, by requiring a very small number of intermediate support bars.

The shelf is made up of a variable set of shelves, generally rectangular in shape, supported by at least two intermediate bars that also perform functions of separating the contents of the shelf into columns.

The shelves are constituted by an extruded profile of a remarkably rectangular shape, with two horizontal major walls joined together by a series of partitions, the first one being displaced a few centimeters from the longitudinal edge of the profile, forming a longitudinal groove in said edge. In a more or less centered position of the profile, two partitions are placed between which a series of through holes are made between both major surfaces of the shelf, aligned longitudinally, with a fixed distance between two consecutive through holes of 1 meter. The last partition arranged between the two horizontal major walls incorporates a projection that defines two longitudinally arranged, coincident and parallel grooves, one on each major surface of the shelf and in the proximity of the corresponding longitudinal edge. Such slits may be used for the installation of sliding doors between two shelves, adjacent or not. Each sliding door is made from a plate, generally rectangular, whose width is approximately the distance between the lower major surface of the lower support shelf of the door and the upper major surface of the upper support shelf.

In the vicinity of the upper longitudinal edge of the door, on its inner face, two or more projections are located, each corresponding to the axis of a wheel. This wheel has a width slightly less than the width of the groove of the lower major surface of the upper support shelf, where it is inserted. Two or more similar wheels are introduced into the upper groove of the lower support shelf. The projections that support the wheels of the door have a length such that they allow the presence of intermediate shelves between the upper and lower support shelf.

The bars that support the shelves are constituted of sections of length equal to the separation between the shelves. These sections have hollow portions at their ends, to which an internal thread has been applied, so that a threaded rod can be partially inserted, which is introduced through the through hole of the shelf and threaded into the next section of the bar, constituting by means of the repetition of this process the body of the bookshelf. A flat head screw is used in the upper shelf instead of the threaded rod, since no section is installed above the upper shelf. In the case of the lower shelf, an elongated support is provided below said shelf, which has a threaded hole in its upper part that serves as the first point of attachment of the corresponding threaded rod. This threaded rod is then introduced through the hole bottom shelf and threaded through the lower section of the shelf bar.

Each support has at least two support bases that are arranged transversely to the shelf to increase the stability of the assembly.

The shelf is fixed to a support wall by means of a set of squares attached to the wall, the vertical section of each square being fixed to the wall, and the horizontal section, orthogonal to the wall, inserted into the longitudinal groove of at least , the upper shelf, to which it is fixed by means of a stud. The transverse edges of the shelves are protected by corners, which have complementary portions to the section of the profile, so that they can be partially plugged into it, being fixed in position by pressure or other equivalent means. In order to make the detailed description of an embodiment clearer, the drawings that allow the understanding of the basis of the present invention are presented.

A general view of the shelf made according to the present invention is shown in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the cross section AA marked in Figure 1.

Figure 3 shows the corner that attaches to the transverse edges of the shelves.

Description of an embodiment

Figure 1 shows a general view of the shelf object of the invention, which shows the arrangement of the shelves (1) and the intermediate support bars, which are formed by a set of sections (5) of equal length , which are sandwiched between each pair of consecutive shelves (1). The shelf is fixed to a support wall by means of a set of brackets (10). The brackets (10) that support the upper shelf (1) have their branches attached to the wall above said shelf (1), while the other brackets (10) are mounted with the branch attached to the wall below the wall. corresponding shelf (1). In the transverse edges of each shelf (1) there is a corner (6) to protect the edge, and to hide the profile of the shelves (1), increasing the aesthetic level of the shelf.

A plurality of supports (9) are arranged at the base of the shelf, each aligned with an intermediate bar, and connected to its lower section (5) by means of a threaded rod (7). These supports (9) have an elongated configuration and are arranged transversely to increase the stability of the shelf.

Figure 2 shows the cross section AA indicated in Figure 1, in which only the upper and lower shelves (1) have been represented as having a greater interest. In each of these shelves (1) a longitudinal groove (4) can be seen in one of the longitudinal edges, and two grooves (2), one on each major surface of the shelf (1), in the vicinity of the opposite longitudinal edge . These slits (2) can be used for mounting sliding doors. In a position approximately centered transversely of the shelf (1) a plurality of through holes (3) is placed between both major surfaces, arranged along a longitudinal line. Each through hole (3) disposes in the vicinity of its upper mouth a portion of greater width, this width being equivalent to the outer diameter of the intermediate bars. The intermediate bars are formed from a set of sections (5) consisting of rods whose Extreme portions are hollow and internally threaded.

These rods can be hollow in their entire length, or only in their extreme portions.

The sections (5) have an outer diameter greater than the diameter of the through holes (3) to prevent the sliding of the shelf (1) through the section (5).

Through each through hole (3) of the shelf (1) a threaded rod (7) is introduced to whose ends the sections (5) are threaded which will serve as a separation between the shelf (1) and its adjacent ones. By repeating this procedure the assembly of the shelf is produced, the through holes (3) of the upper shelf (1) being closed by introducing flat head screws (8) from the top, instead of the corresponding ones threaded stems (7). As the diameter of the sections (5) is equal to that of the upper mouths of the through holes (3), once the joint is secured through the through hole (3) of the two consecutive sections (5), the section (5 ) upper is fitted in said mouth, causing the immobility of the sections (5) with respect to the shelf (1). The shelf support on the floor is carried out by means of elongated supports (9) that have a threaded hole in its upper face so that a threaded rod (7) can be introduced that makes the connection with the section (5) immediately superior, passing the threaded rod (7) through a through hole (3) of the lower shelf (1) - of the shelf. This support has bases (11) on its lower face, arranged transversely to the shelf (1) to increase the stability of the structure. These bases

(11) are equipped with levelers to compensate for irregularities in the ground. The shelf is attached to the support wall by means of squares (10) fixed to the wall by its vertical branch by means of screws or other suitable methods, and whose horizontal section is introduced into the longitudinal groove (4) of the corresponding shelf, being fixed instead by means of threaded studs (12) that are generally introduced from the lower major surface of the shelf (1).

You can see in this figure the profile of the shelf (1) where it can be seen that it is constituted by two horizontal major walls, joined by:

- two partitions in the longitudinal edges, one of them forming the longitudinal groove (4) and the two grooves (2) being coupled to the other edge - two reinforcement partitions in its central area where the longitudinal line of through holes is made (3 )

- two partitions in intermediate positions between these four already mentioned. Figure 3 shows the corner (6) that is coupled to the transverse edges of the shelf (1) to avoid deformation by knocks of the edges of the shelf (1) and also fulfill aesthetic functions. The corner (6) joins the transverse edges of the shelf (1) by pluggable portions that are inserted into the holes left by the profile of the shelf

(1) in its transverse edge and are held in position by pressure or other equivalent means.

Describing sufficiently the nature of the invention, as well as the way of carrying it out in practice, it should be noted that the provisions indicated above and represented in the attached drawings are subject to modifications in detail as long as they do not alter its fundamental principle.

Claims

1 Shelving, of which they comprise a plurality of shelves of reduced thickness supported by intermediate bars, characterized in that each shelf (1) comprises along its larger surfaces two indentations (2) coinciding, parallel and close to one of the longitudinal edges ; a longitudinal groove (4) along the opposite longitudinal edge; and a plurality of through holes (3) between both major surfaces, longitudinally aligned; and because the intermediate bars comprise independent sections (5) of length equal to the separation between two consecutive shelves (1), with internally threaded hollow end portions, and threaded connecting rods (7); whose sections (5) are aligned with the through holes (3) of the shelves (1) for the passage of the threaded rods (7) mentioned.

2 Shelving, according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises two squares (10), one of whose branches is intended to be fixed to a support wall while the other branch is introduced into the longitudinal groove (4) of the corresponding shelves ( 1) to which they are fixed by means of studs (12).

3 Shelving unit, according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it comprises one or more sliding doors mounted on the slits (2) of two shelves (1), and that the doors comprise a substantially rectangular plate that presents, in the vicinity of the ends of the lower longitudinal edge of the inner face and aligned parallel to the edge, two or more wheel fixing means configured to roll along the upper groove (2) of the lower shelf (1) of the door support.

4 Shelving unit according to claim 3, characterized in that the doors comprise, in the vicinity of the ends of the upper longitudinal edge of the inner face of the plate, and aligned parallel to the edge, two or more sliding means that are introduced into the lower groove (2) of the upper shelf (1) of the door support.

5 Shelving, according to claim 3, characterized in that the doors comprise, in the vicinity of the ends of the upper longitudinal edge of the internal face of the plate, and aligned parallel to the edge, two or more wheel fixing means configured to roll at length of the lower groove (2) of the upper shelf (1) of the door support.

6 Shelving according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of supports (9) under the lower shelf (1), each support (9) being attached to the section (5) immediately above the shelf (1) ) bottom, and each of the supports (9) having a threaded rod (7) that passes through the through hole (3) of the shelf (1) and is screwed into the opposite section (5).

7 Shelving, according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the shelves (1) are constituted by a profile comprising two major walls, horizontal and parallel, and a plurality of intermediate partitions.

8 Shelving unit, according to claim 7, characterized in that it comprises in the transverse edges of each shelf (1) a corner bar (6) partially pluggable in the profile of the shelf (1). 9 Shelving according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that each upper section (5) is fixed to the upper shelf (1) by means of a flat head screw (8) inserted through the through holes (3).
