Abstract

A closure for containers for making a prior opening of the closure visible has a cap-shaped inner part (20) with a face (22) and a surrounding wall (25), the wall (25) being provided with an internal thread (28), which can be engaged with the external thread (18) of the container (12). A cap-shaped outer part (50) overlaps the inner part (20) and has a face (52) as well as a surrounding wall (55), the inner part (20) being rotationally mounted with annular flanges (32) inside the wall (55) of the outer part (50). In order to be able to indicate the opened state of the container, the outer part (50) has a viewing opening (68) in at least one outer surface (51), whereas the inner part (20), on its outer surface (21) facing the viewing opening (68) of the outer part (50), carries at least two differently fashioned visible surfaces (41, 42). In addition, at least one coupling device (80) is formed between the wall (25) of the inner part (20) and the wall (55) of the outer part (50). This coupling device fixes the inner part (20) and the outer part (50) with regard to one another in a defined angular position after the container (12) has been opened for the first time. The angular position of the inner part (20) relative to the outer part (50) can be visually and/or tactilely perceived on the visible surfaces (41, 42) in the viewing opening (68).
