Abstract

The method for detecting genus, identifying and differentiating species and vaccine strains of the Brucella is based on the amplification, by means of multiplex PCR, of selected genomic DNA fragments corresponding to genomic regions of interest. Said method allows detecting, differentiating and identifying the strains of B. abortus, B. melitensis, B. ovis, B. suis, B. neotomae, B. canis, the isolates of marine mammal Brucella, and the vaccine strains B. abortus S19 (B19), B. abortus RB51 and B. melitensis Rev 1.
