Abstract
【課題】 遷移金属の酸化物から成るナノチューブ及びその製法を提供する。 【解決手段】 水中で、一般式 RCO(NHCH2CO)mOH (式中、Rは炭素数6~18の炭化水素基、mは1~3の整数を表す。)で表わされるペプチド脂質と遷移金属イオンとを共存させ、形成した繊維状物質を300~600°Cで燒結することにより、平均直径約10~1000nm、平均長さ約1~100μmの遷移金属酸化物から成るナノチューブを得ることができる。

技術分野
[0001] この発明は、遷移金属の酸ィ匕物力も成るナノチューブに関する。
背景技術
[0002] 従来、金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブを製造する方法としては、脂質などが形成する棒状 や中空状の繊維を铸型にして、繊維の表面にゾルーゲル法を用いてケィ素、チタン 、ジルコニウムなどの酸ィ匕物を形成させ、高温で焼結することにより繊維を取り除き、 金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブとして得る二段階の製造方法が知られている (非特許文献 1、特許文献 1)。
また、溶液法で金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブを合成した例も ヽくつか知られて!/ヽるが、 亜鉛など限られた遷移金属のみが金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブを形成するものであった
(非特許文献 2)。
一方、本発明者らは、長鎖炭化水素基にパリンやグリシンなどを結合させたぺプチ ド脂質を水中で遷移金属イオンへ配位させることにより形成されるペプチド脂質と遷 移金属からなる微細繊維や微細中空繊維の研究開発を進めてきた (特許文献 2、 3、 非特許文献 3等)。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0004] 遷移金属の酸ィ匕物力 成るナノチューブは、有用な性質を有すことから、様々な研 究者により、その作成が検討されてきた。
従来行われてきたゾルーゲル法に基づく金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブの合成法は、ケ ィ素、チタン、ジルコニウム等の特定の金属に限られ (非特許文献 1)、更に、二段階 の複雑な反応を必要とするものであり、汎用性に乏し力つた。そのため、遷移金属の 酸ィ匕物から成るナノチューブを製造することは出来な力つた。
また、溶液法による金属酸化物ナノチューブの合成法も、亜鉛など限られた金属以 外の多くの遷移金属への汎用性はな力つた (非特許文献 2)。
即ち、本発明は、遷移金属の酸化物から成るナノチューブ、及びその製造のため の簡易な方法を提供することを目的とする。
課題を解決するための手段
[0005] 発明者らは、既に、多種の遷移金属イオンが配位したペプチド脂質微細繊維を合 成する技術を開発してきたが (非特許文献 3、特許文献 3)、これらの遷移金属イオン 力もなる微細中空繊維は世界でも類を見ないものであった。
本発明者らは、上記の課題を解決すべく鋭意研究を重ねた結果、このペプチド脂 質と遷移金属力 なる微細中空繊維を自己铸型として用いて、高温で焼結すること により、微細中空繊維中のペプチド脂質を分解除去し、遷移金属イオンを酸化するこ とで、一段階の反応で遷移金属酸ィ匕物チューブが形成することを見いだし、本発明 をなすに至った。
本発明は、従来望まれていたが得ることのできな力つた遷移金属の酸ィ匕物力も成る ナノチューブを非常に簡易な方法により製造できることを見出した画期的なものであ る。
発明の効果
[0006] 本発明の遷移金属酸化物ナノチューブはナノ電子部品やナノ磁性材料として電子 •情報 ·エレクトロニクス分野などの工業分野で利用可能である。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0007] まず、本発明の微細中空繊維の铸型を、水中にペプチド脂質と遷移金属イオンを 共存させて形成させる。
このペプチド脂質は、一般式 RCO (NHCH CO) OHで表わされる。

この式中、 Rは炭素数が 6〜18の炭化水素基、好ましくは炭素数 2以下の側鎖が付
V、てもよ 、直鎖炭化水素である。この炭化水素基は飽和であっても不飽和であって もよく。不飽和の場合には 3個以下の二重結合を含むことが好ま 、。
mは 1〜3の整数を表す。
[0008] この炭化水素基にペプチド結合で結合するグリシン残基が本発明にお!/、て特長的 な役割を果たしており、このグリシンがポリグリシン (II)型構造と呼ばれる水素結合を形 成することにより(Crick, F. H. C; Rich, A. Nature 1955, 176, 780-781)、中空繊維 状構造をとるものと考えられる。このグリシン残基を他のアミノ酸で置き換えても通常 の条件においては単に繊維状構造物しか形成せず、本発明でグリシン残基を用い た場合のような中空繊維状構造物を形成しない。
[0009] 遷移元素は、 21Scから 3 Znまで、 39Yから48 Cdまで、、及び57 Laから 8GHgまでの金 属であり、好ましくはマンガン、鉄、コバルト、ニッケル、銅、亜鉛、銀、パラジウム、金 、又は白金である。これらを単品で用いてもよいし、複数種を混合して用いてもよいが 、単品を用いることが好ましい。
[0010] 微細中空繊維の铸型は、水中に上記ペプチド脂質と遷移金属イオンを共存させる と瞬時に形成される。具体的には、まず水中に上記ペプチド脂質を溶解させる。ぺプ チド脂質に塩基を加えることにより脂質末端にカルボキシレートァ-オンが形成され る。この塩基としては、アルカリ金属水酸化物(水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化リチウム、水 酸化カリウムなど)ゃテトラアルキルアンモ-ゥム水酸化物(テトラメチルアンモ -ゥム 水酸化物、テトラエチルアンモ-ゥム水酸ィ匕物など)などの比較的強 、塩基が適して いる。このときのペプチド脂質の濃度は 1〜50ミルモル Zリットルが好ましい。なお、 溶媒は水以外でも力まわないと考えられるが現時点で試験した結果は水が最も好ま しい。次に、遷移金属イオンをカ卩える力 水中で遷移金属イオンとなるような前駆体で あればどのような構造のものを用いてもよい。最も簡便であるのは遷移金属の塩であ り、塩酸、硫酸、硝酸、酢酸などの遷移金属塩を用いることができる。
[0011] このようにして、水中でカルボキシレートァ-オンと遷移金属イオンとが直ちに反応 して、ペプチド脂質と遷移金属の結合体が形成され、この結合体は自己集合性であ る。遷移金属イオンを加えると瞬時に微細中空繊維が形成されるため、適宜微細中 空繊維の形成状況を観察しながら遷移金属の供給速度を決めればよい。なお、この
際の温度は 、かなる温度でもよ!、が、室温で十分反応は進行する。
この繊維状物質を捕集し、風乾又は真空乾燥することにより、空気中で安定な微細 中空繊維が得られる。
[0012] 微細中空繊維の铸型は、ペプチド脂質のカルボキシレートァ-オンと遷移金属ィォ ンとが結合した下式

(式中、 R及び mは上記と同様であり、 Xは遷移金属イオンを表す。)で表される化合 物から成ると考えられる。
この微細中空繊維の铸型は、外側に遷移金属、内側にペプチド脂質が配位するよ うな厚さが約 4. 4nm程度の層を形成し、この層が何層(約 5〜: L0層ほど)にも中空部 分を取り囲むことにより微細中空繊維を構成している。その結果チューブの膜厚は約 20〜50nm程度になる。この微細中空繊維の平均直径は約 10〜1000nm、平均長 さは約 1〜: LOO /z mである。
[0013] 次に、得られた微細中空繊維の铸型を、例えば、約 lOOmlZ分程度の流量で微量 の空気を流しながら、約 5時間程度、 300〜600°Cで焼結させる。
その結果遷移金属の酸ィ匕物力 成るナノチューブが得られ、このナノチューブのサ ィズは、铸型と同様に、平均直径約 10〜: LOOOnm、平均長さ約 1〜: LOO mである。 通常の光学顕微鏡を用いて容易に観察することができる。この構造はレーザー顕 微鏡、原子間力顕微鏡、電子顕微鏡を用いることにより、より詳細に確認することがで きる。
[0014] 以下、実施例にて本発明を例証するが本発明を限定することを意図するものでは ない。
列 1
グリシルグリシンベンジルエステル塩酸塩 0. 57g (2. 2ミリモル)にトリエチルァミン 0 . 31ml(2. 2ミリモル)をカ卩ぇエタノール 10mlに溶解した。ここにゥンデカンカルボン 酸 0. 40g (2ミリモル)を含むクロ口ホルム溶液 50mlをカ卩えた。この混合溶液を— 10 °Cで冷却しながら 1 ェチル 3—( 3 ジメチルァミノプロピル)カルボジイミド塩酸 塩 0. 42g (2. 2ミリモル)を含むクロ口ホルム溶液 20mlを加え、徐々に室温に戻しな
力 一昼夜撹拌した。反応溶液を 10重量%クェン酸水溶液 50ml、 4重量%炭酸水 素ナトリウム水溶液 50ml、水 50mlの純に洗浄した後、減圧下で濃縮し白色固体とし て N— (グリシルグリシンベンジルエステル)ゥンデカンカルボキサミド 0. 50g (収率 60 %)を得た。この化合物 0. 42g (lミリモル)をジメチルホルムアミド 100mlに溶解し、 触媒として 10重量%ノ ラジウム Z炭素を 0. 5g加え、接触水素還元を行った。 6時間 後、触媒をセライトを用いてろ別した後、減圧下で濃縮することにより、白色固体のぺ プチド脂質 (N— (グリシルグリシン)ゥンデカンカルボキサミド) 0. 16g (収率 50%)を 得た。このものの物理的性状及び元素分析値を次に示す。

製造例 1で得たペプチド脂質 1ミリモルをサンプル瓶にとり、これに 1倍当量の水酸 化ナトリウム 40mg (1ミリモル)を含む蒸留水 50mlを加え、超音波照射 (バス型)を施 すことによりペプチド脂質を溶解させた。この水溶液に 20ミリモル Zリットルの酢酸銅 (II) 50ml (0. 5ミリモル)を常温 ·常圧下でカ卩えると瞬時に溶液が濁り、青色の沈殿物 が形成した。
沈殿物の赤外吸収スペクトルを測定した所、ペプチド脂質ナトリウム塩のカルボキシ レートァニオンに特異的な 1604cm_1の吸収がなくなっており、また 1408cm_ 1の吸 収が 1419cm— 1付近に大きくシフトしていた。この結果はカルボキシレートァ-オンに 金属イオンが配位したときに特異的にあらわれる現象であることから得られた沈殿物 がペプチド脂質と金属イオン力 なることが証明された。沈殿物を透過型電子顕微鏡 観察することにより、平均直径が 10〜: LOOOnmであり、平均長さが 1〜: LOO/z mであ るペプチド脂質と銅 (II)イオンカゝらなる微細中空繊維の形成を確認した。
[0016] 製造例 3
製造例 1で得たペプチド脂質 1ミリモルをサンプル瓶にとり、これに 1倍当量の水酸
化ナトリウム 40mg (1ミリモル)を含む蒸留水 50mlを加え、超音波照射 (バス型)を施 すことによりペプチド脂質を溶解させた。この水溶液に 20ミリモル Zリットルの酢酸マ ンガン (II) 50ml (0. 5ミリモル)を常温 ·常圧下でカ卩えると瞬時に溶液が濁り、青色の 沈殿物が形成した。
沈殿物の赤外吸収スペクトルを測定した所、ペプチド脂質ナトリウム塩のカルボキシ レートァニオンに特異的な 1604cm_1の吸収がなくなっており、また 1408cm_ 1の吸 収が 1419cm— 1付近に大きくシフトしていた。この結果はカルボキシレートァ-オンに 金属イオンが配位したときに特異的にあらわれる現象であることから得られた沈殿物 がペプチド脂質と金属イオン力 なることが証明された。沈殿物を透過型電子顕微鏡 観察することにより、平均直径が 10〜: LOOOnmであり、平均長さが 1〜: LOO /z mであ るペプチド脂質とマンガン (Π)イオンカゝらなる微細中空繊維の形成を確認した。 実施例 1
[0017] 製造例 2で得たペプチド脂質と銅力 なる微細中空繊維の粉末を、微量の空気を 流しながら 400°Cで 4時間加熱した。得られた灰黒色粉末を赤外吸収スペクトルで測 定すると、加熱によってペプチド脂質が完全に分解して消滅し、銅イオンが酸化され ることにより酸化銅が形成したことがゎカゝつた(図 1)。電子顕微鏡で観察した結果、平 均直径が 60〜100nm、長さが l〜10 /z mであるチューブ状の酸化銅が形成してい ることが明らかとなった (図 2)。ペプチド脂質と銅力もなる微細中空繊維が自分自身 を铸型とすることにより、同じ形態をもつ酸化銅ナノチューブが形成したと考えられる 実施例 2
[0018] 製造例 3で得たペプチド脂質とマンガン力もなる微細中空繊維の粉末を、微量の空 気を流しながら 400°Cで 4時間加熱した。得られた黒色粉末を赤外吸収スペクトルで 測定すると、加熱によってペプチド脂質が完全に分解して消滅し、マンガンイオンが 酸化されることにより酸ィ匕マンガンが形成したことがゎカゝつた(図 3)。電子顕微鏡で観 察した結果、平均直径が 50〜200nm、長さが 1〜: L0 mであるチューブ状の酸化 マンガンが形成していることが明らかとなった(図 4)。ペプチド脂質と銅力もなる微細 中空繊維が自分自身を铸型とすることにより、同じ形態をもつ酸化マンガンナノチュ
ーブが形成したと考えられる。

Claims
[1] 平均直径約 10〜: LOOOnm、平均長さ約 1〜: LOO μ mの遷移金属酸化物から成る遷 移金属酸化物ナノチューブ。
[2] 前記遷移金属が21 Scから 3 Znまで、 39Yから48 Cdまで、及び57 Laから 8GHgまでの ヽ ずれかの金属又はこれらの混合である請求項 1に記載の遷移金属酸化物ナノチュー ブ。

[4] Rが直鎖炭化水素である請求項 3に記載の遷移金属酸ィ匕物ナノチューブ。
