Description
Description A COOKING DEVICE
[001] The present invention relates to a cooking device, the inner volume of which is utilized effectively and which comprises a panel that provides heat insulation.
[002] Various designs have been developed for reducing thermal losses at the doors of the cooking devices and for keeping the door of the cooking device below certain temperature values. The door comprises one or more panels, positioned so that there is a certain distance in between them and the outer panel thereof, for reducing the temperature of the outer panel which is the surface in contact with the outer surroundings. Attachment with fixing elements , gluing, snap-fitting etc. securing methods are used for positioning these panels in the door. Utilizing detailed fixing elements for each panel increases both the number of components and the duration of assembly.
[003] In the state of the art German Utility Model Document Application no. DE7514000, a panel is described which is mounted on the outer surface of a cooking device door that prevents the direct contact of the user with the door of the cooking device.
[004] The British Patent Application no. GB 1399874, another state of the art, a cooking appliance door comprising panels which can easily be mounted and dismounted are described.
[005] Furthermore, there are one or more trays within the cooking chamber of the cooking device, positioned at various levels on which the food desired to be cooked is placed. The trays, when not in use, are either stored within the cooking device or taken out.
[006] The object of the present invention is to design a cooking device, the inner volume of which is utilized effectively and comprising a panel that provides heat insulation.
[007] The cooking device designed to fulfill the object of the present invention is shown in the attached figures, where:
[008] Figure 1 - is the perspective view of a cooking device.
[009] Figure 2 - is the side schematic view of a panel.
[010] Figure 3 - is the side schematic view when the panel is fixed on the door.
[011] Figure 4 - is the schematic view of a cooking device when the panel is utilized as an insulation panel.
[012] Figure 5 - is the schematic view of a cooking device when the panel is utilized as a tray.
[013] Elements shown in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Cooking device
2. Cooking chamber
3. Door
4. Panel
5. Outer panel
6. Inner panel
7. Guide
8. Body
9. Support
10. Fixing element
[014] The cooking device (1) comprises a cooking chamber (2) inside which the food to be cooked is placed, and a door (3) which separates the cooking chamber (2) from the outer surroundings, allowing access by the user to the interior of the cooking chamber (2) (Figure 1).
[015] The cooking device (1) comprises a panel (4) which can be mounted on or dismounted from the door (3), serving for insulation of heat when mounted on the door (3), used as a tray by disposing within the cooking chamber (2) when displaced from the door (3) and fixing elements (10) that provide the panel (4) to be mounted preferably on the door (3), on the surface in contact with the cooking chamber (2) when in the closed position (Figure 3).
[016] The panel (4) comprises a body (8), which serves as an insulation panel when mounted on the door (3), serving to hold the food to be cooked when placed within the cooking chamber (2) and one or more supports (9) that entirely or partially frame the body (8) fixing it to the door (3) when mounted on the door (3), providing it to be situated inside the cooking chamber (2) when utilized in the cooking chamber (2) (Figure 2).
[017] When the panel (4) is mounted on the door (3) to be used as an insulation panel, the body (8) provides the cooking chamber (2) to have a homogeneous heat dispersion by means of being in contact with the air within the cooking chamber (2) which is comparably hotter than the ambient air. The support (9) enables the panel (4) to be fixed on the door (3) by means of the fixing elements (10) and also when the panel (4) is assembled on the door (3), prevents the heat transfer from the cooking chamber (2) to the door (3) especially to the surface of the door (3) that is in contact with the outer surroundings by forming a gap between the body (8) and the door (3) (Figure 4).
[018] The cooking device (1) comprises at least two guides (7) formed on the opposite walls that enclose the cooking chamber (2).
[019] The panel (4), when used as a tray, serves to carry the food placed to be cooked on the body (8), the support (9), fixed to the body (8), allows the panel (4) to be situated within the guides (7) that are positioned on the opposite walls of the cooking chamber (2) (Figure 5). The supports (9) that are seated in the guides (7) provide the panel (4) to be situated within the cooking chamber (2), furthermore function as a handle for the user to easily hold the panel (4).
[020] The body (8) and the support (9) can be produced of glass, metal and other similar materials. The body (8) is preferably made of glass. The body (8) and the support (9) can either be single-piece or separate pieces.
[021] The panel (4) has the shape and size such that it can either be assembled on the door
(3) or situated in the cooking chamber (2).
[022] In another embodiment of the present invention, the door (3) comprises a frame with one or more window openings, allowing the user in the outer surroundings to view the interior of the cooking chamber (2) even when the door (3) is closed, an outer panel (5) forming the surface of the cooking device (1) that is in contact with the ambient surroundings, covering the window opening entirely in a leak-proof manner, made of a transparent, preferably glass material, an inner panel (6) covering entirely the window opening on the other side of the frame, positioned so as to be facing opposite the outer panel (5) and forming the surface of the door (3) in contact with the cooking chamber (2). The panel (4) can be mounted on the inner panel (6) by the user by means of fixing elements (10) or can be dismounted.
[023] The panel (4), when fixed on the door, can be dismounted from the door (3) by the user if desired, and can easily be used as a tray on which food is placed. When the panel (4) is not desired to be used as a tray by the user, it is fixed on the door (3) by means of fixing elements (10) and serves as an insulation panel in this case. Hence the panel (4) situated in the cooking device (1) can be utilized efficiently both in an active and a passive position. Furthermore, when the panel (4) is in a passive position, it can be used effectively in the milieus inside the cooking device (1) or outside of the cooking device (1) without creating a nonfunctional volume.
