Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Ausbildung eines Protektors (1) als Schutzelement für ein Körperteil, wie beispielsweise einen Ellenbogen oder eine Schulter eines Menschen, sowie einen Protektor (1) für eine Schutzbekleidung wie insbesondere Motorradkleidung, beispielsweise Rücken-, Ellenbogen-, Schulter-, Hüft- oder Knieprotektor, aufweisend stoßabsorbierenden Kunststoff. Um ein Verfahren zur Ausbildung eines Protektors bzw. einen vorteilhaften Protektor anzugeben, wird verfahrenstechnisch vorgeschlagen, dass der nutzungsbereite Protektor (1), hergestellt aus einem thermoplastischen Kunststoffmaterial, in einem Ofen erhitzt wird auf eine Temperatur, die eine plastische Verformung zulässt und dass der so erhitzte Protektor (1) an ein betreffen- des zu schützendes Körperteil des Nutzers individuell angepasst wird. Gegenständlich wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Kunststoff aus fadenartigen, mehrlagig übereinander angeordneten und gegeneinander verhafteten sowie Öffnungen in Dickenrichtung belassenden Kunststoffsträngen (7, 8) besteht.
