Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système d'arrimage permettant d'attacher un fauteuil roulant dans un véhicule dans lequel des fixations d'arrimage sont attachées fermement au châssis de ce fauteuil roulant et au plancher du véhicule, que ce soit directement ou via l'attache d'un support qui est attaché soit sur le châssis du fauteuil roulant, soit sur le plancher du véhicule. Une fixation d'arrimage mâle est montée sur un support sur le dessous du fauteuil roulant, lequel est positionné dans le véhicule de sorte que cette fixation d'arrimage mâle et la fixation d'arrimage femelle soit alignées et que la fixation d'arrimage mâle puisse être verrouillée par coulissement et de manière détachable avec la fixation d'arrimage femelle. De préférence, la fixation d'arrimage femelle comprend un mécanisme de libération électrique sous charge ressort et peut aussi comprendre un mécanisme coulissant permettant un mouvement vers l'avant et vers l'arrière limité du fauteuil roulant lorsque celui-ci est arrimé.
