Abstract

The inventive system is characterised in that the vehicle engine can be started by means of a coded signal that is transmitted from a mobile telephone and received at a telephone installed in the car, which is connected to the on-board computer ( o ) which controls the starting-up of the propulsion engine and, consequently, the air-conditioning system. The system control program replaces the engine ignition key, although said key is required in order for the doors to be opened and the vehicle to move. The screen of the control mobile telephone displays the same information that appears on the screen of the motor vehicle on-board computer ( o ) and the user can alter same, including GPS information.
