Abstract

The invention relates to a device for transforming a working medium from a liquid to a vapor state. The device contains a flow channel (1) for the working medium and a heat source (2) for giving off thermal energy in a preselected direction of propagation (5) and for heating the working medium flowing through the flow channel (1). The flow channel (1) comprises at least three sections, which are located in the direction of propagation (5) and which interact with the thermal energy. A preheateing section (6) provided with at least one inlet opening (3) for the working medium is preferably located furthest away from the heat source (2). A superheating section (8) comprises at least one outlet opening (4) for the working medium transformed into vapor, and at least one first vaporizing section (7) is provided between both sections (6, 8) while permitting the working medium to flow. According to the invention, the first vaporizing section (7) is located next to the heat source (2), whereas the superheating section (8) is placed in an interspaced manner between the preheating section (6) and the first vaporizing section (7).
