Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de codage décodage d'une vidéo multivue par une image à profondeur stratifiée. L'invention porte notamment sur un procédé et un appareil de codage/décodage d'une vidéo multivue par image à profondeur stratifiée, utilisant un procédé de décorrélation linéaire pour améliorer l'efficacité de compression. Le procédé de codage LDI de l'invention consiste à : (I) générer la LDI à couches multiples au moyen d'informations de couleur et de profondeur de chaque image d'observation de la vidéo multivue ; (ii) assurer la décorrélation linéaire dans chaque couche de la LDI ; (iii) assurer l'agrégation de données dans chaque couche décorrélée de manière linéaire de la LDI ; et (iv) coder les données agrégées dans chaque couche de la LDI pour générer un train binaire LDI codé.
