Abstract

L'invention porte sur un article de protection d'un objet contre une menace d'énergie cinétique, cet article comprenant une première couche dure constituée de matériaux tels que des composites à matrice céramique, une céramique monolithique, une vitrocéramique, une céramique et du verre, et une seconde couche constituée d'au moins un polymère semi-cristallin non filamenteux, les deux couches formant un blindage unitaire. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication de l'article, sur son utilisation dans la protection d'un objet contre une menace d'énergie cinétique, et sur un procédé de protection d'un objet contre des menaces d'énergie cinétique en dotant l'objet d'un blindage comprenant l'article. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de protection d'un objet contre une menace d'énergie cinétique en formant un blindage comprenant une couche dure telle qu'une face de frappe et une seconde couche frangible molle, configurée pour dissiper au moins une énergie d'un impact par rupture sans éclats.
