Abstract

The invention relates to the drink can that is, by separating of the entire lid from the can body, turned into a drinking glass. Where the lid (3) is to separate from the can (1), there is a grove (4) running all around, enabling easy separation of the lid from the can body by pulling the opener. The opener for separating the lid from the body may be fixed to the can lid in any of the several known ways. The drink can is opened as follows: While the can is held in one hand, the opener is taken with the other hand and risen to the vertical position. Simultaneously, the lid is pulled until fully separated from the can body. This way, the can is turned into a drinking glass that enables drinking of the can contents as from a conventional glass. For hygienic or medical reasons, the upper part of the can may be covered with a plastic or aluminium foil.

Description

CAN - DRINKING GLASS
INVENTION DESCRIPTION
I FIELD OF APPLICATION
The invention relates to the drink can that is, by separating of the entire lid from the can body, turned into a drinking glass. For hygienic or medical reasons, the upper part of the can may be covered with plastic or aluminium foil. In the International Patent Classification, it is classified as B - Performing operations and transporting, including containers for storing or transporting of materials, subdivision B 21 D 51/26, that includes making of cans and tins and their closing.
2. TECHNICAL PROBLEM
Many people practice drinking from cans by putting the small opening in the can lid against the mouths. Drinking of the can contents this way is impractical and, to many people, impossible. Besides, putting the mouth directly against the can is neither hygienic nor medically correct.
The technical problem that is solved by this invention relates to construction of a drink can that is, by separating of the entire lid from the can body, turned into a drinking glass, thus enabling drinking the contents of the can in a convenient manner. The hygienic-medical issue is solved by covering the upper part of the can with a plastic or aluminium foil that is to be removed before drinking.
3. STATE OF THE ART
Presently, drink cans are produced with an opener at the lid, pulling of which creates a smaller opening intended for drinking the liquid. While drinking the liquid, the said opening is put against the mouth and the liquid is drunk, where spilling is prevented with particular attention only. Such cans are provided with lid protecting foil for hygienic and medical protection.
By the inventor's best knowledge, the solution presented in this invention has not been applied anywhere.
4. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The essence of the invention is the drink can that is, by separating of the entire lid from the can body, turned into a drinking glass. For this reason, the lid is at its contact with the can body made easy to separate from the body. On the lid there is fixed a pulling opener to separate the lid from the can. To separate the lid, the opener is lifted and pulled. This way, the can becomes a conventional drinking glass. The upper part of the can with the lid can be covered with plastic or aluminium foil. The entire can may be wrapped in foil.

6. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ONE OF AN INVENTION EMBODIMENT
The invention relates to the drink can that is, by separating of the entire lid from the can body, turned into a drinking glass. This makes drinking directly from the can, that makes serious problem to some people, easier. The drink can A, Figures 1., 2. and 3., comprises the body 1 , the bottom 2 and the lid 3 with the opener B or C. At the lid 3, by the very can body, there is a grove, that is, the metal sheet thickness is decreased, so that the lid easily separates from the body when the opener is pulled. The grove along the line of separation of the lid from the can body is circular (4).
The opener, used for separation of the lid from the body, can be made and fixed to the lid in several already known ways, only two being mentioned here: platelet shaped opener B and ring shaped opener C, that are not protected here.
The opener B has the platelet 5 and the neck 6, firmly connected to the lid 3 in the point 7. The platelet 5 is, before opening of the can, pressed close to the lid 3.
The opener C has the ring 8 and the neck 9, firmly connected to the lid 3 in the point 10. The ring 8 is, before opening of the can, pressed close to the lid 3.
The can is opened as follows:
While the can A is held firmly in one hand by its body, the platelet 5 or the ring 8, as the case may be, is taken with the other hand and risen to the vertical position.
Simultaneously, the Hd 3 is pulled, Figure 4., until fully separated from the can body
1. With the lid removed, the can is turned into a drinking glass, Figure 5., that enables drinking of the can contents as from a conventional glass.
For hygienic and medical reasons, the upper part of the can with the lid can be covered in two ways:
- with a plastic foil 12, provided with the tongue 13 for its removal from the can, Figures 6. and 7.; and
- with an aluminium foil 14, with the tongue 15 for its removal from the can, Figures 8. and 9.
The entire can may be wrapped in the foil as well.
7. INVENTION APPLICATION
The invention can be applied for storing in cans of various drinks and other liquids that are consumed soon after opening of the can.
Cans with hygienic protection can be used for all drinks that are drunk by putting the can directly against the mouth.

Claims

PATENT CLAIMS
