Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a beverage can from which a consumer can directly drink the beverage out of the can through a hygienic straw by providing a removable element to open the can and connecting the straw to the removable element through a fixing means formed of a projection. CONSTITUTION: A removable element 2 opening a can by pulling up a ring formed of a lug 3 ending at the ring 4, is provided at the upper part of a beverage can 1. A drinking straw 5 is contained in the beverage in the can 1 and the upper end of the straw 5 is positioned on the lug 3 and fixed to the lug 3 through a substantially truncated conical projection 6 oppositely positioned at the inside of the can 1. When the removable element 2 is torn, the straw 5 is pulled out of the can 1 as it is fixed to the lug 3, it can be easily separated from the projection 6. In this way, the drinking straw 5 can be rapidly used and it is completely hygienic as it is hermetically sealed in the can 1.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a beverage container having a drinking straw integrally incorporated therein.

Such a container may be a bottle with a lid at the top, or more particularly a soft drink and/or a container whose opening device is symbolized by a tab ending in a ring.
Or it can be a ring-pull can for sparkling beverages.

Although the invention relates to any type of container for beverages, for reasons of simplicity it will be described hereinafter only in the case of containers for soft drinks.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION After a consumer opens a can containing a soft drink, the consumer attempts to drink the contents, most often by bringing the can directly to his or her mouth. The consumer's lips thus come into contact with the outer upper part of the can, which may be dirty. In addition to this, the consumer also swallows a small amount of liquid that comes into contact with the outer portion of the flat top of the can close to the outlet of the can.

The disadvantage of this is that you can either pour the contents of the can into a cot (but in this case the liquid flowing out of the can also slightly touches the outer rim of the can) or, which is a better method, use a straw. It can be resolved by using it.

However, the straws given to consumers may not be individually sealed in suitable paper bags. Often these straws are dispensed from a common container which is held without any protection and is therefore unhygienic.

Drinking straws are not always available and therefore consumers often attempt to drink the contents of a can by bringing the can to their mouth, as described above.

It is easy to see how dangerous this is when one considers the fact that the majority of soft drink consumers are children.

[Problem to be solved by the invention]

The main object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages by providing a container for soft drinks in which the liquid is drunk in a completely hygienic manner.

Another object of the invention is to allow the consumer to have a straw at his disposal, so that he can drink the liquid directly from the container.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The above objects and other objects are distantly related by a beverage container according to the present invention, which beverage container has a drinking straw integrally incorporated therein. A removable element is provided for opening the container itself, and this straw
is connected to the removable element via fixing means consisting of a substantially frustoconical projection disposed on the removable element and facing the interior of the container, into which the straw fits. It is a beverage container.

Referring to the drawings, 1 indicates a soft drink can.

In its upper part the can is provided with a conventional removable element 2, consisting of a knob 3 terminating in a ring 4, for opening the can in a ring-pulling manner.

Inside the can 1 there is housed a drinking straw 5 which is pushed into the liquid of the can (not shown).

The upper end of the straw 5 is connected to the removable element 2 via fixing means 6. More specifically, the upper end of the straw 5 is secured via a substantially frustoconically shaped projection which is used as a fixing means and is indicated at 6 and is located on the knob 3 and faces the inner part of the can l. , is fixed to knob 3.

As shown in particular in FIG. 2, the upper end of the drinking straw is removably fitted into a frusto-conical projection 6, thereby securing the straw to the handle 3.

By tearing off the removable element 2, the straw 5, which was fixed to the tab 3, is pulled out of the can l.

After this opening step, the consumer can easily separate the straw 5 from the projection 6 by applying a slight pulling action in the axial direction.

In this way, the drinking straw 5 can be quickly put to use.

Apparently, this straw was completely hygienic since it was sealed inside the can 1.

The drinking straw 5 is preferably curved in shape (see Figure 1) and its length is greater than the length of the can 1, so that when the straw is withdrawn from the can itself, the consumer can drink the entire contents. It will be wise to do so.

The present invention is distantly related to its intended purpose.

Obviously, in practice the invention may further take on forms different from the examples described above without departing from its scope of protection. In particular, the fixing means 6 can be of any nature depending on the structural requirements, all of which are included within the scope of the invention.
