Abstract

A 1-D venturi flow meter (200) having an inlet (206) and an outlet (208) connected by a first second wall disposed substantially opposite to one another to create a channel of airflow. The first and the second wall each have a first bend and a second bend, where the first bend (214a) in the first wall and the first bend in the second wall form an angle θ, and the second bend in the first wall and the second bend in the second wall form an angle α. The first bend in the first wall and the first bend in the second wall are at opposite angle such that the channel is narrowed to define a throat portion. The second bend in the first wall and the second bend in the second wall are at opposite angle, such that the channel is widened.
