Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système détecteur d'angle mort (10) monté à l'extérieur d'un véhicule (14) et comprenant au moins une diode électroluminescente infrarouge, un photodétecteur et un démodulateur infrarouge, et un microcontrôleur. La puissance de sortie de l'émetteur infrarouge est modulée de manière linéaire, ce qui permet au détecteur d'angle mort (10) de déterminer la proximité de l'objet détecté (16). La sortie de l'émetteur est modulée en fréquence pour dépister le rayonnement infrarouge aléatoire qui pourrait affecter de façon négative le fonctionnement du photodétecteur infrarouge.
