Abstract

Im Rahmen von Systempflege oder-wartung ist es manchmal notwendig Datenverarbeit tungseinrichtungen, die weit verstreut sind, gleichzeitig abzuschalten. Die Erfin dung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1), insbesondere Einbaukarte, für eine Daten­verarbeitungseinrichtung (2), beispielsweise für einen Computer, einen Drucker oder dergleichen, wobei die Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (3) mit mindestens einer weiteren Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (4, 6) datentechnisch vernetzt ist, und wobei die Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (2) eine Hauptplatine (22) mit Schnittstellen (26, 28, 30, 32, 34, ,36, 40, 42) für weitere Komponenten der Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (2) und/oder zur Interaktion der Datenverarbei­tungseinrichtung (2) mit einem Benutzer aufweist einschließlich einer Schnit­tstelle (42a, 42b) zu einem elektrischen Schaltelement (44, 46), durch dessen Betätigung die Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (2) einschaltbar, ausschaltbar oder rücksetzbar ist, wobei die Vorrichtung (1) über ein Netzwerk (16) mit einem Controller (14) verbunden ist, und eine von der Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung (2) unabhängige Energieversorgung über das Netzwerk (16) aufweist.
