Description

The Arrangement and Method of Assembling Former Holders
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to former holders. More specifically, the present invention relates to the arrange¬ ment and method of assembling former holders to double up the capacity of glove lines in glove production.
Background of the Invention
The market for glove is growing mainly for three reasons: the fear of AIDS, higher standards of hygiene and greater medical care. There are many types of gloves in the market such as veterinary gloves which protect from the risk of infection; medical gloves used by hospital personnel, dentists, doctors and gynecologists, firemen, road police, etc. in order to avoid contact with potentially infectious materials, blood, etc; gloves for food contact increasingly being used for handing food products in supermarkets, canteens and fast food restaurants; gloves to prevent finger marks used in clean rooms for handing the packaging of luxury goods (perfumes, cosmetics) , fragile products (electronic components, porcelain, jewelry), and industrial products (acrylic sheet) ; and other uses like to avoid contact with dirty, greasy, smelly or aggressive materials by hairdressers and beauticians who handle health and beauty products, pump attendants and motorists in petrol stations, and also at home during painting, gluing, and do- it-yourself.
Gloves can be made in different lengths and sizes depending on its usage. Most of the available gloves in the market, come in wrist length, elbow length, one finger or two fingers and others.
Currently, most of the glove productions in the market use the conventional single former holder method to produce gloves. A U-shaped like bracket is connected at the end of each of the shafts that extends from the chain. Former holder is attached to each of the U-brackets by using a pin. In another words, each shaft extension that extends from the chain holds only one former holder, which means that only one glove is produced from each of the shaft extensions at one time.
In the present market, glove industry has become very competitive as the number of glove manufacturers is increasing rapidly. Quantity and high productivity are the two main keys to the glove manufacturers in order to sustain and compete in such a competitive industry. Due to such reason, some of the manufacturers implemented new method to their existing glove production in order to increase their productivity and to stay competitive. One of the new methods introduced in the market to double up the capacity of the glove line is to increase the number of shaft extensions from the chain. However, this method is not cost effective as it increases the cost of machinery. A new cost is added when more shaft extensions are used and not to mention on the new U brackets and pins.
The present invention seeks to provide a method of increasing the capacity of the glove line in glove production with no additional component is added to the existing one.
The objective of the present invention is to introduce a new method of assembling double former holders to the extension shafts in glove production.
Another objective of the present invention is to double up the quantity and productivity of glove line in glove production.
Yet another objective of the present invention is not to increase the cost of glove production even with a higher productivity as no additional components are added in the present invention.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention introduces a method of carrying two former holders at the end of each of the shafts wherein a pin is attached at the end of each of the shafts and all the pins at the shafts end are each attached with a pair of hinges in which each carries a single former holder.
Preferably said shafts are extended from the movable chain.
Preferably said concept of attaching a pin at the end of each of the extension shafts makes said pin T-shaped like and hence said pin is given the name of T-Pin in the present invention.
Preferably said pair of hinges on the same shaft extension will engage with each other in a stacked form when in closed position and moved apart when in opened position.
Preferably said method of assembling former holders in present invention has the advantage that two former holders share one shaft extension and hence double up the capacity of glove line and being cost-effective.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Figure 1 is a layout showing the method of assembling former holders at the end of each of the extension shafts in the present invention.
Figure 2 shows a layout view of the forming of T-Pin of the present invention at the end of each of the extension shafts that extend from the movable chain.
Figure 3 shows a close view of T-Pin of the present invention.
Detailed Descriptions of the Preferred Embodiments
Referring now to the several drawing figures in which identical elements is numbered identically throughout a description of the preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be provided.
Figure 1 is a complete layout (1) showing the method of assembling double former holders (8) at the end of each of the extension shafts (7) mounted at the array of movable chain (6) . As shown in figure 1 and 2, there is a plurality of extension shafts (7) that extended from the movable chain (β) in glove production. A pin (4) is attached horizontally perpendicular at the end of each of the extension shafts (7) . The pins (4) at the shafts' end are each attached with a pair of hinges (3) at both opposing ends of the pins (4) . At the end of each of the hinges (3) is mounted with a holder attachment (2) for attaching the former. In another words, there are two holder attachments
(2) share one extension shaft (7) in the present invention.
By referring now to figure 3, the concept of attaching the pin (4) at the end of the extension shaft (7) make the pin (4) T-shaped like at the end of the extension shaft (7) . There is a pin lock (5) at both ends of said pin (4) where the pin lock (5) fixes and locks the position of the hinges
(3) . The pin (4) can be a single pin attached horizontally perpendicular at the end of the extension shaft (7) via a through hole or a pair of pins mounted at the sides of the extension shaft (7) to form the T-shaped like.
The hinges (3) are preferably bent into form L-shaped hinges having a first portion which is attached to said T- shaped like pin and second portion. In glove production, the pair of hinges (3) on the same shaft extension (7) would have one stacked on top of the other at the first portions of the both hinges (3) when in closed position as shown in figure 1. The stacked form method in closed position is used in processes where both the holder attachments (2) need to move together. In processes like printing, glove stripping and etc, the pair of holder attachments (2) at the end of each of the extension shafts (7) is separated in opened position. Each of the hinges is provided with a bent portion (9) at the end where the hinge (3) is attached to the pin (4) . The bent portion (9) for the upper hinge (3) will be rested on the extension shaft (7) when in opened position as shown in figure 1. Either one of the pair of holder attachments (2) will be tilted by approximately 90 degree away from its original position as shown in figure 1. Unlike the conventional single former holder, the present method of assembling two former holders (8) at the end of each of the extension shafts (7) of the present invention doubles up the capacity of glove line in glove production with no additional component is added and no increases in production cost and high mechanical stability.
It is to be understood that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms and is not limited to the sole embodiment described above. However modification and equivalents of the disclosed concepts such as those which readily occur to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the claims which are appended thereto.
