Background Art
[2] Generally, only the native language and English, excepting numbers and some special characters, can be inputted and displayed in/on a mobile telephone. For example, only Korean and English are inputted and displayed in/on the domestic(Korean) mobile telephone, and only Japanese and English are inputted and displayed in/on a mobile telephone used in Japan. If a character message is transmitted to a mobile telephone which is not supported by Korean character, the message composed by Korean can not be displayed on the mobile telephone. Thus, the message must be composed by English. This case can be applied vice versa. That is, a character message transferred from a mobile phone in a foreign country to a mobile phone in the domestic(Korean) must be composed by English. Thus, the communication with a receiver in a foreign country cannot performed well. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[37] In a character-image input system of mobile telephone and a method using the same according to the present invention, a benefit can be provided to a transmitter and the receiver in that users who are use a different language can write and read characters, which is not supported by a mobile telephone, in/on the mobile telephone, and an image corresponding to the characters are transmitted to a receiver. Further the present invention can be achieved without changing or upgrading a mobile telephone.
[38] The object, feature and advantage of the present invention will become more apparent from the following description of embodiment thereof taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
[39] Hereafter, an embodiment of a character-image input system of mobile telephone and method using thereof will be described in detail below.
[40] Fig. 1 is an embodiment of a multilingual-image input system of mobile telephone according to the present invention.
[41] As will be seen from Fig. 1, the multilingual-image input system of mobile telephone comprises:
[42] a mobile telephone 100 having an inputting keypad and a display means;
[43] a multilingual inputting server 200 for transforming and combining a code received from the mobile telephone into a graphic character, and transmitting back the transformed and combined graphic character to the mobile telephone; and
[44] a wireless Internet network 300 for connecting the mobile telephone with the system.
[45] For example, as there is a compatibleness-related problem when a transmitter in Korea transmits a character message to a receiver in Japan by using his/her mobile telephone, a correct character message or information cannot be transferred. There is not the compatibleness-related problem and incorrect character message or information transmission, however, as a character message transmitted to a receiver mobile telephone is transformed in an image and transmitted through the multilingual
inputting server 200 according to the present invention.
[46] Fig. 2 is a block diagram of multilingual inputting server in the character-image input system of mobile telephone according to the present invention.
[47] As shown in Fig. 2, the multilingual inputting server comprises:
[48] a receiving part 270 for receiving a code inputted from a mobile telephone;
[49] a transforming part 220 for transforming the code received through the receiving part into a graphic or image character;
[50] a combining part 240 for combining the graphic or image character in the transforming part with a graphic or image character in a temporary storing part;
[51] the temporary storing part 250 for storing the graphic character temporarily;
[52] a graphic character database 230 for storing a graphic data of the graphic character;
[53] a transmitting part 260 for the graphic character generated and combined in the combining part to the mobile phone; and
[54] a control part 210 for controlling each of the parts.
[55] A character inputted by the keypad of the mobile telephone 100 is received in the receiving part 270, transformed into an image in the transforming part 220 by performing a character searching in the graphic character database 230, combined as one character having the initial sound, the vowels and the final consonant in the combining part 240, and transmitted to a receive through the transmitting part 260.
[56] For example, as shown in Fig. 4, if a sender, who uses Korean, transmits a Korean character through his/her mobile telephone to a receiver mobile telephone, a predetermined personal verification procedure is performed as shown in Figs. 4 and 5. If the sender is a correct one, an initial sound input image is displayed as shown in Fig. 6, the number 17 key of the keypad, corresponding to the Korean alphabet, on the mobile telephone is inputted, and the enter key is pressed. Then, the code for the Korean alphabet corresponding to the number 17 is transmitted to the graphic character database, and transformed in a graphic character in the transforming part 220 to be temporarily stored in the temporary storing part 250. Next, as shown in Fig. 7, when the vowel input image is displayed, the number 19 key of the keypad, corresponding the Korean alphabet is inputted is inputted, and the enter key is pressed. Then, the code for the Korean alphabet corresponding to the number 19 is transmitted to the graphic character database, and transformed in a graphic character in the transforming part 220 to be temporarily stored in the temporary storing part 250.
[57] Finally, as shown in Fig. 8, when the consonant is displayed, the number 1 key of the keypad, corresponding the Korean alphabet is inputted is inputted, and the enter key is pressed. Then, the code for the Korean alphabet corresponding to the number 1 is transmitted to the graphic character database, and transformed in a graphic character in the transforming part 220 to be temporarily stored in the temporary storing part 250.
Eventually, the Korean character is formed as an image. As shown in Fig. 10, the generated image is transmitted to the receiver when the sender presses a key for sending message.
[58] Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating the method for inputting multilingual-image according to the present invention.
[59] As shown in Fig. 3, the method according to the present invention comprises:
[60] a step S 100 of showing a character as a graphic;
[61] a step S 110 of mating the graphic character with a keypad on a mobile telephone;
[62] a step S 120 of key-in for keying-in the keypad on the mobile telephone;
[63] a step S 130 of inputting a transmitting key;
[64] a step S 140 of receiving in a server;
[65] a graphic generating step S150 for generating character-images;
[66] a combining step SI 60 for the generated the character-images;
[67] a graphic transmitting step SI 70 for transmitting the character-images combined in the server; and
[68] a graphic displaying step SI 80 for displaying the combined character-images.
[69] In detail, Korean alphabets, English alphabet, numbers and special characters are displayed on a sender mobile telephone when a sender accesses the multilingual inputting server 200 through his/her mobile telephone in order to send the character a receiver who use a language different from that of the sender(SlOO). Next, the keypad of mobile telephone is matched with a graphic characters 110). After matching, the sender presses a key corresponding the desired characters 120), and presses the enter key(S130). Next, the server receives the key signal(S140), and the transforming part 220 transforms the character into an image(graphic)(S150). When sender presses a key for sending the character, the images stored in the temporary storing part 250 are combined(S160) to be transmitted to a receiver mobile telephone(S170). Then, the image is displayed on the receiver mobile telephone and the receiver can show the image(S180).
[70] That is, it is cumbersome to use English in order to send a message to a receiver who uses a language different from a sender language. However, if a sender writes a message by using the native language and transmits the message to a receiver in foreign country through the character-image input system of mobile telephone and method using the same according to the present invention, the receiver can receivers an image but a character to remove the compatibleness-related problem. Thus, it is not needed to purchase to a mobile telephone for a character communication.
[71] Further, in the present invention, the multilingual inputting server can recognize the information for the kind of mobile telephone, as all the information for the mobile telephone is transmitted when the session is established.
[72] According to the present invention, a benefit can be provided to a transmitter and the receiver in that users who are use a different language can write and read characters, which is not supported by a mobile telephone, in/on the mobile telephone, and an image corresponding to the characters are transmitted to a receiver. Further the present invention can be achieved without changing or upgrading a mobile telephone.
