Abstract

The inventive method for disinfecting aircraft cabins consists in manually or mechanically cleaning said cabins and in blowing an ozone-air mixture therethrough by microportions whose duration is equal to 3 seconds at an interval therebetween of 10 seconds with the ozone concentration ranging from 10 to 20 mg/sec. The inventive device for producing said ozone-air mixture comprises a power charging unit (1) connected to the inputs of a power accumulating and control unit (2), wherein the outputs (1, 3) of said power accumulating and control unit are connected to a network consisting of the primary coil (3) of a transformer (4) and a tyristor (5) whose control electrode (6) receives a control signal from the output (2) of the power accumulating and control unit (2). Said device also comprises an ozone generator which is connected in parallel to the secondary coil (7) of the transformer (4) and is provided with sets consisting of two low-voltage plates (11, 12) and one high-voltage plate (8) which is disposed therebetween and encompassed by barriers (9, 10), whereby it is possible to reduce energy losses, exclude a resonance overvoltage in the secondary transformer coil and to increase ozone production, wherein the transformer is embodied in the form a line-output transformer whose number of primary turns is determined by a resonance frequency and a charging resistance is embodied in the form of the coil resistance of a fan.
