Abstract

L'invention concerne une protection de droit d'auteur et de copie de logiciel, plus précisément, le filigranage de logiciel qui permet de suivre la source d'une copie illégale. Actuellement, il existe des procédés de chiffrement de fichiers en vue d'interdire l'exécution illégale d'un logiciel. La façon traditionnelle de craquer cette protection consiste légalement à exécuter un logiciel avec l'image de travail de sauvegarde d'un exécutable à partir d'une mémoire vive. L'image sauvegardée renferme un code entièrement ou partiellement déchiffré et elle est plus facile à craquer que le fichier d'origine. Le but de cette invention consiste à incorporer un code exécutable qui gère le filigranage numérique dans l'image de mémoire vive mentionnée, au lieu de mettre en filigrane numérique un fichier exécutable. Dans ce cas, la version craquée (sauvegardée à partir de la mémoire vive) contient des filigranes et elle constitue une source inestimable d'informations concernant l'origine du logiciel distribué illégalement, étant donné que ces filigranes peuvent contenir des informations sur le logiciel du système qui a été craqué.
