Abstract

 通話中の利用者が自然な動作で通話音声を調整できるようにするため、電話機1には、利用者の身体部位の接触を検知する第1タッチセンサ20が筐体2の底面に、第2タッチセンサ30が筐体2の側面に、それぞれ設けられている。また、筐体2の下部において、利用者が音声を入力するマイク6の近傍に光の反射によって近傍の障害物を非接触で検知するフォトセンサ40が設けられている。通話中の利用者が、電話機1を把持しない方の手で口元(マイク6)近傍を覆うと、その状態が第1タッチセンサ20、第2タッチセンサ30、フォトセンサ40に検出されて、電話機1には通話モードとして「ひそひそモード」が設定される。また、利用者によってフォトセンサ40が覆われた程度に応じて、マイク6からの音声信号が調整される。

[0002] 従来、電話回線を介して通話相手と音声通信を行うのに、周囲の人に遠慮して電 話する場合や、通話相手だけに聞こえるように内緒話する場合などで、小声でも通話 相手に十分な音量で送話音声が届くようにマイク感度を上げる、いわゆる秘話モード (ひそひそモード)を設定可能な音声通信装置が知られて!/、る。

発明が解決しょうとする課題

[0005] 本発明は上記課題を解決するためになされたものであり、利用者の通話状態に応 じて小声での通話に適した秘話モード (ひそひそモード)が自動的に設定されるよう にして、通話中の利用者が自然な動作で通話音声を調整できる音声通信装置を提 供することを目的とする。
課題を解決するための手段

[0163] また、上記第 1乃至第 3の実施例では、通話中の利用者が筐体 2の下部が覆ったこ とを、被覆検出手段 (第 1タツチセンサ 20、第 2タツチセンサ 30)が検出した場合に「 ひそひそモード」を設定しているが、秘話動作検出手段は、利用者の様々な動作に 基づいて各種通話モードの設定を行うことができる。例えば、利用者が前かがみにな ると、携帯電話の傾きが変化するため、この傾きの変化をジャイロや単純な錘を利用 したもの等の姿勢検出手段が検出した場合に「ひそひそモード」を設定してもよ!/ヽ。ま た、通話中の利用者が小声になると周波数成分が変化するため、この声の変化をフ 一リエ変換や特徴的な音域のフィルタリングなどで取り出して相対変化を検出し、所 定の息の音 (周波数成分)を検出した場合に「ひそひそモード」を設定してもよ!/、。
[0164] また、上記第 1乃至第 3の実施例では、通話モードとして「通常モード」と「ひそひそ モード」を例示したが、利用者又は設計者の任意で各種通話モードを利用できる。例 えば、騒音環境下で通話する利用者の声をより明瞭に通話相手に伝えるための「騒 音通話モード」や、耳の遠 、通話相手のために利用者の声を大きくして通話相手に 伝えるための「拡声モード」などである。そして、所定の利用者の動作と各種通話モ 一ドとをあらかじめ対応付けておけば、電話機 1では利用者の動作に応じて各種通 話モードが自動的に設定されるようにすることができる。
[0165] また、利用者が音声信号を任意に調整するための調整指示手段として、フォトセン サ 40が電話機 1の下部に設けられている力 電話機 1における他の部位に設けられ てもよい。また、フォトセンサ 40は光センサとして構成され、利用者はフォトセンサ 40 に照射される光量を調整することで任意に音声信号を調整できるが、調整指示手段 を他の手段によって構成してもよい。例えば、外部からの押圧の強さを検知するタツ チパネルで構成し、利用者はその調整指示手段を指圧することで任意に音声信号を 調整できるようにしてちょい。
[0166] このように、第 1乃至第 3の実施例に係る電話機 1は、通話中の利用者が自然な動 作で音声信号の調整ができるのであれば、秘話動作検出手段及び調整指示手段で ある各種センサを様々な態様で具備することができる。
[0167] また、利用者が操作部 4を操作して、第 1及び第 4乃至第 7の実施例では、マイク感 度を所望の感度に設定するマイク感度設定手段を更に設けても良いし、第 2の実施 例では、増幅率を所望の増幅率に設定する増幅率設定手段を更に設けても良ぐこ の場合、明るさの測定値 (LUX)が標準閾値以上の場合には、利用者に設定された 値となり、通話終了後にデフォルトに戻る値も利用者に設定された値となる。
[0168] また、第 1、第 2の実施例では、通話モード判定処理 (S1)において、明るさの測定 値 (LUX)を標準閾値より低いか否かを判断していたが、まず初めに、第 1タツチセン サ 20がオン力否かを判断しても良い。
産業上の利用可能性
本発明の音声通信装置は、固定電話機、携帯電話機、 PHS、電話機能付パ ナルコンピュータなど、音声通話が可能な端末機器に適用できる。

請求の範囲
[1] 音声が入力されて音声信号に変換するマイク (6)と、該マイク (6)が設けられて利 用者が把持して通話を行うためのハンドセット(2)とを備えた音声通信装置(1、 100 、 270、 302、 304)【こお!ヽて、
前記音声信号を調整する必要があるか否かを判定する音声判定手段(10)と、 前記音声判定手段により前記音声信号を調整する必要があると判定された場合、 前記音声信号を調整するための音声調整手段( 15)と、
を備えることを特徴とする音声通信装置。
[2] 前記音声判定手段(10)は、前記ハンドセット(2)の下部が覆われたことを検出する 秘話動作検出手段 (20、 30)であることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の音声通信装 置。
[3] 前記秘話動作検出手段 (20、 30)は、
前記ハンドセット(2)の下部に設けられて、外部からの接触に応じて検出信号を出 力する第 1タツチセンサ(20)と、
前記第 1タツチセンサ(20)からの検出信号に基づ!/、て、前記ハンドセット (2)の下 部が覆われたか否かを判定する被覆判定手段(10)とを備えることを特徴とする請求 項 2に記載の音声通信装置。
[4] 前記マイク(6)は、前記ハンドセット (2)の下部に設けられ、
前記第 1タツチセンサ(20)は、前記マイク(6)の近傍に設けられたことを特徴とする 請求項 3に記載の音声通信装置。
[5] 前記秘話動作検出手段 (20、 30)は、
前記ハンドセット(2)の側面部に設けられて、外部からの接触に応じて検出信号を 出力する第 2タツチセンサ(30)を備え、
前記被覆判定手段(10)は、第 1タツチセンサ(20)及び第 2タツチセンサ(30)から の検出信号に基づいて、前記ハンドセット(2)の下部が覆われた力否かを判定するこ とを特徴とする請求項 3に記載の音声通信装置。
[6] 利用者が前記音声信号の調整を指示するための調整指示手段 (40)を備え、 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記調整指示手段 (40)からの情報に応じて、前記音 声信号を調整することを特徴とする請求項 2乃至 5のいずれかに記載の音声通信装 置。
[7] 前記調整指示手段 (40)は、前記ハンドセット(2)の下部に設けられて、外部からの 光に応じて検出信号を出力するフォトセンサ (40)であることを特徴とする請求項 6に 記載の音声通信装置。
[8] 前記フォトセンサ (40)は、通話時の利用者が前記ハンドセット(2)を把持するときに
、該ハンドセット(2)における利用者の顔に対して向けられる面に設けられたことを特 徴とする請求項 6に記載の音声通信装置。
[9] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記調整指示手段 (40)からの情報に応じて、前記マ イク(6)の感度を段階的に変化させることを特徴とする請求項 6に記載の音声通信装 置。
[10] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記調整指示手段 (40)からの情報に応じて、前記マ イク(6)からの音声信号の増幅率を段階的に変化させることを特徴とする請求項 6に 記載の音声通信装置。
[11] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記調整指示手段 (40)からの情報に応じて、前記マ イク(6)からの音声信号の波形を補正することを特徴とする請求項 6に記載の音声通 信装置。
[12] 前記音声判定手段(10)は、
前記ハンドセット (6)に設けられたスピーカ(3)が通話相手力 の送話を出力中で ある力否かを判定するスピーカ出力判定手段(10)、

前記音声調整手段(15)は、
前記スピーカ出力判定手段(10)の判定に応じて前記マイク(6)からの音量を計 測する音量計測手段(15)、

前記音量調整手段(15)は、前記音量計測手段(15)の計測値に応じて音量調節 を行うことを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の音声通信装置。

前記音声調整手段(15)は、
前記環境音用外部マイク(21)からの音量を雑音として除去した音量を前記マイク (6)からの音量として計測する音量計測手段(15)、

前記音量調整手段(15)は、前記音量計測手段(15)の計測値に応じて音量調整 を行うことを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の音声通信装置。
[15] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、
前記ハンドセット (2)に設けられたスピーカ(3)の設定レベルを取得し、音声デー タに前記設定レベルを重畳した送信データを作成する送信データ作成手段( 15) を備え、
前記音声判定手段(10)は、
通話相手力 の送信データ力 スピーカの設定レベルを分離する設定レベル分 離手段(10)
を有し、
前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記設定レベル分離手段(10)で分離された設定レ ベルに応じて音量調整を行うことを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の音声通信装置。
[16] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記マイク (6)の感度を段階的に変化させることで音 量調整を行うことを特徴とする請求項 12乃至 15のいずれかに記載の音声通信装置
[17] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記マイク (6)からの音声信号の増幅率を段階的に 変化させることで音量調整を行うことを特徴とする請求項 12乃至 15のいずれかに記 載の音声通信装置。
[18] 前記音声調整手段(15)は、前記マイク (6)からの音声信号の波形を補正すること で音量調整を行うことを特徴とする請求項 12乃至 15のいずれかに記載の音声通信 装置。
[19] 前記音声通信装置(1、 100、 270、 302、 304)は、前記ハンドセットが該音声通信 装置の筐体 (2)をなす携帯端末装置であることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の音声 通信装置。
