Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung und/oder Überwachung des Füllstandes eines Mediums, mit einem Piezowandler (1) mit mindestens einem ersten (2) und einer zweiten Seite (3), wobei der Piezowandler (1) Ultraschallsignale erzeugt bzw. empfängt. Die Erfindung sieht vor, dass ein erstes (6) und ein zweites elektrisches Potential (7) vorhanden sind, wobei die beiden Potentiale (6, 7) unterschiedlich sind, dass eine Schalteranordnung mit Schaltern (S1, S2, S3, S4) vorhanden ist, die mit dem ersten (6) und dem zweiten potential (7) und dem Piezowandler (1) verbunden ist, dass mindestens eine Ansteuerlogik (20) vorhanden ist, die die Schalteranordnung steuert, und dass die zwei Seiten (2, 3) des Piezowandlers (1) über die Schalteranordnung periodisch abwechselnd mit dem ersten (6) und mit dem zweiten Potential (7) verbunden sind. Weiterhin gibt die Erfindung auch eine alternative Ausgestaltung mit einem ersten, einem zweiten und einem dritten Potential an.
