- DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART Elongated parts of the type used in automobile transmission such as a rear cross member or an engine cradle require machining operations requiring a machine tool having a tool with five axes of movement. These parts also have the specificity of presenting machinable zones essentially on their ends.
