Abstract

 カムピース連成体(6)は、溶湯の注入直後からチラー(4)によって急速に熱が奪われ、チル化(白銑化)する。その結果、カムピース連成体(6)は、その硬度が非常に高くなる一方、引張強度や剪断強度は低下する。鋳造されたカムピース連成体(6)には、カムピース素形と、ノッチとが交互に形成されている。カムピース連成体(6)を保持装置に保持させた状態で、破断工具によりノッチに打撃を与える。すると、引張強度が低いカムピース連成体(6)は脆弱部であるノッチで破断し、個々のカムピースが得られる。
