Description PREVENTION APPARATUS FROM DISCONNECTING OF MANHOLE COVER Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a separation-preventing device of a manhole cover, and more particularly, to a separation-preventing device of a manhole cover, which can prevent movement and separation of a manhole cover, thereby preventing cracks of a concrete road around the manhole buried in the ground. Background Art
[2] In general, a manhole is communicated with a water supply hole and a sewage ditch. So, when the water supply hole and the sewage ditch are clogged due to lots of sewage and a flood, manhole construction work is carried out for inspecting the inside of the manhole after a manhole cover is opened. Furthermore, the manhole construction work is also carried out every predetermined interval for electric wiring of cables or city gas construction. In addition, the manhole construction work is also carried out on the asphalt road. In this case, repairing work must be carried out for covering the asphalt road with Ascon (Asphalt concrete) or concrete again when the road surface is not even due to the first asphalt road construction work or aging of the asphalt road. At this time, the manhole construction work has to be carried out in such a way that the manhole formed in the road serves as an underground passage of a drainage system.
[3] FIG. 1 shows a structure of a conventional manhole. In FIG. 1, a manhole body 10 is located at a side of the underground passage communicating with the water supply hole and the sewage ditch. The manhole body 10 includes a height- variable ring 20 seated on an upper opening part 11 and having retaining steps respectively formed on the upper and lower portions of the inner periphery of the height- variable ring 20. A manhole cover 30 is placed on the upper retaining step of the height- variable ring 20.
[4] When the asphalt road is first paved, concrete is poured to the height of the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10 which has a diameter of about lm. After that, in case of repairing work, the height- variable ring 20 is seated on the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10, and then, asphalt concrete is poured on the outer circumference of the height- variable ring 20. After that, the manhole cover 30 is put on the inner retaining step of the height- variable ring 20, which is equal to the height of the ground.
[5] As described above, the conventional manhole cover 30 is put in the manhole body 10 or the height- variable ring 20. Therefore, when heavy and large-sized trucks con-
tinuously pass the top surface of the manhole cover 30, the manhole cover 30 is slightly moved from the seated portion between the manhole cover 30 and the manhole body 10. Particularly, in case of a small-sized manhole cover 30 which has a diameter of about 20cm, the outer circumference of the manhole cover 30 is worn away as long time goes by, and so, the manhole cover 30 is separated from the manhole body 10 due to the external instantaneous power and pressure. Since the conventional manhole cover 30 does not have any device for preventing separation from the manhole body, in case of the small-sized manhole cover 30, children can easily lift the manhole cover, and thereby, accidents may occur. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a separation-preventing device of a manhole cover, which can prevent movement or separation of a manhole cover. Technical Solution

[8] The support member is formed protrudignly on the top surface of the height- variable ring and have a through-hole formed to be oriented toward the center of the manhole cover, and the fixing member is a pin fit into the through-hole.
[9] The support member includes a recess formed on the top surface of the height- variable ring, and a pair of protrusions upwardly protruding from the recess, and the fixing member includes a fixing ring connected to the protrusions and having holes formed on an end thereof.
[10] A plurality separation-preventing parts are formed on the height- variable ring in such a manner as to be spaced apart from one another at regular intervals and spaced equidistantiy from the center of the height- variable ring. Advantageous Effects
[11] Effects of the separation-preventing device of the manhole cover according to the
present invention are as follows.
[12] First, the present invention includes the support members formed on the top surface of the height- variable ring on which the manhole cover is seated, and the fixing members fit into the support members for fixing the top surface of the manhole cover, thereby preventing movement of the manhole cover.
[13] Second, the support member has the protrusion formed on the top surface of the height- variable ring and a through-hole formed in the protrusions to be oriented toward the center of the manhole cover, and the pin is forcedly and closely fit on the protrusion of the manhole cover, whereby the present invention can prevent movement and separation of the manhole cover.
[14] Third, the support member has the recess formed on the top surface of the height- variable ring and a pair of the protrusions formed on the recess, and the fixing ring is forcedly fit to the protrusions, whereby the present invention can prevent separation of the manhole cover in a state where a part of the fixing ring closely contacts with the top surface of the manhole cover.
[15] Fourth, the present invention has a plurality of the separation-preventing parts formed on the height- variable ring, thereby more effectively preventing movement and separation of the manhole cover.
[16] That is, when heavy and large-sized trucks continuously pass the top surface of the manhole cover, the present invention can minimize movement of the manhole cover, thereby preventing cracks of the asphalt concrete road around the manhole buried in the ground. Brief Description of the Drawings

[24] Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. In FIGS. 2 to 4, the same reference numerals designate components providing the same functions.
[25] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, a separation-preventing device of a manhole cover includes a manhole body 10, a height- variable ring 20, a manhole cover 30, and a separation-preventing part 40 for preventing separation of the manhole cover 30.
[26] The manhole body 10 is in a cylindrical form having a hollow portion formed therein for communicating an upper opening part 11 and a lower opening part 12 with each other. The upper opening part 11 has a support jaw 13 protruding toward the inner central portion thereof. The lower opening part 12 is connected to a part of a water supply and sewage pipes when the manhole body 10 is buried in the ground. The upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10 is smaller in diameter than the lower opening part 12. Here, the manhole body 10 may be in a rectangular form.
[27] The height- variable ring 20 is mounted to remove a height difference between the road and the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10 due to repeated pouring of asphalt concrete.
[28] The height- variable ring 20 also has a hollow portion like the manhole body 10. Furthermore, the height- variable ring 20 includes retaining steps 21b and 21a respectively formed on the inner and outer circumferences thereof. The retaining step 21a formed on the outer circumference of the height- variable ring is seated on the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10, and the manhole cover 30 is seated on the retaining step 21b formed on the inner circumference of the height- variable ring, which will be described later. Here, the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10 has the same diameter as the height- variable ring 20.
[29] Meanwhile, the separation-preventing part 40 is disposed on the top surface of the height- variable ring 20. The separation-preventing part 40 includes a support member 40a and a fixing member 40b.
[30] As shown in FIG. 3, the support member 40a upwardly protrudes from the top surface of the height- variable ring 20 to a predetermined height. The support member 40a has a through-hole 41 formed therein to be oriented toward the center of the height- variable ring 20. The height of the through-hole 41 is equal to or lower than the upper height of the manhole cover 30, which will be seated later. Furthermore, the fixing member 40b is a pin type, and fit into the through-hole 41. The fixing member 40b may be a wedge type which has a slope inclined in a side direction. In this case, the diameter of the through-hole 41 may be gradually reduced toward the inward direction.
[31] As shown in FIG. 5, the support member 40a has a recess 42 formed on the top surface of the height- variable ring 20, and a pair of protrusions 43a and 43b protruding from the upper portion of the recess 42. It is preferable that the protrusions 43a and 43b have the same height as the top surface of the height- variable ring 20. Furthermore, the fixing member 40b has a fixing ring 45 having a cut portion 46 where
a part of the fixing ring 45 is cut. The fixing ring 45 has holes 47a and 47b formed at both sides adjacent to the cut portion 46 thereof. The holes 47a and 47b are fit on the protrusions 43a and 43b of the recess 42, and an interval between the holes 47a and 47b is smaller than an interval between the protrusions 43a and 43b. A plurality of the separation-preventing parts 40 having the above structure are located on the height- variable ring 20 in such a manner as to be spaced apart from one another at regular intervals and spaced equidistantly from the center of the height- variable ring.
[32] A using method of the separation-preventing device of the manhole cover according to the present invention will be described as follows.
[33] First, when a large-sized manhole buried in the ground of the road or a small-sized manhole buried around houses or buildings is constructed, soil and sands are accumulated around the manhole body 10. After the entire height of the manhole body 10 is paved with soil and sands, the height- variable ring 20 is seated on the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10, and then, if necessary, the height- variable ring 20 and the upper opening part 11 of the manhole body 10 are combined with each other. The manhole cover 30 is seated on the retaining step 21b formed on the inner peripheral surface of the height- variable ring 20.
[34] After that, as shown in FIG. 6, the fixing member 40b is fit into the through-hole 41 formed on the support member 40a, and then, the external force is applied in the inward direction of the manhole cover 30 using a tool such as a hammer. At this time, the manhole cover 30 is forcedly and closely fit into the height- variable ring 20 by the fixing member 40b. As a result, the manhole cover 30 is not moved on the seating portion 22 of the height- variable ring 20. On the contrary, to open the manhole cover 30, when the external force is applied to the fixing member 40b from the center of the manhole cover 30 in the outward direction using the tool, the manhole cover 30 is easily separated and opened. Mode for the Invention
[35] As shown in FIG. 7, the support member 40a located on the top surface of the height- variable ring 20 has the protrusions 43a and 43b protruding upwardly, and the holes 47a and 47b of the fixing ring 45 are respectively fit on the protrusions 43a and 43b. At this time, since the holes 47a and 47b are located at both sides of the cut portion 46, they are forcedly fit on the protrusions 43a and 43b which is smaller in width than the holes 47a and 47b. After the fixing ring 45 is fit on the protrusions 43a and 43b, a part of the fixing ring 45 is located on the recess 42. On the contrary, to open the manhole cover 30, when the fixing ring 45 is lifted upwardly by the tool in a state where a side of the fixing ring 45 is supported, the manhole cover 30 is easily separated and opened.
Industrial Applicability
[36] As described above, the separation-preventing device of the manhole cover according to the present invention can fix the manhole cover 30 inside the height- variable ring 20 without movement, thereby preventing abrasion between the height- variable ring 20 and the manhole cover 30, and preventing separation of the manhole cover 30 by the external instantaneous force and pressure. Furthermore, the present invention prevents separation of the small and light manhole cover 30, so that children cannot easily lift up the manhole cover 30, thereby preventing accidents. Additionally, according to the present invention, the manhole cover 30 can be easily disassembled and assembled, and so, a worker can easily maintain and repair it.
