Description

Description PUSHERFORFOOD PRESERVE Technical Field
[1] The present invention is directed to a pusher or a pressurizing devicefor effective food pickling, which is used in a food container. Background Art
[2] In preparing a pickled food for long term storage, something heavy or stone is generally placed over food to be pickled in a container, for helping to sufficiently immerse the food in a pickling solution. However, it is neither hygienically favored nor convenient, since depending on the size of a container, new pressurizing means having a corresponding size should be found and collected each time, and handling of the container or taking the pickled food out of the container is difficult.
[3] Regarding said problems of conventional methods, various pressurizing devices for food pickling have been developed, which help to sufficiently immerse the food to be pickled into a pickling solution in a container, even when the volume of the food is reduced as being pickled. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[4] Most of those pressurizing devices, which have a certain height, are used by laying food to be pickled into a container, placing the pressurizing device on the top of the food and closing the container with lid thereof. As closing the lid, the food material for making Korean style salted cucumber, pickle, preserved fruit and the like is immersed into a pickling solution by the pressurizing device. However, as the volume of the food is decreased upon pickling, such pressurizing device cannot apply enough pressure to the food, and in order to solve this problem, it is required to, inconveniently, change the device with another one having a corresponding height at every certain time interval.
[5] Further, whenever taking the food from a container having the conventional pressurizing device therein, the pressurizing device should also be removed first, after opening the lid, therefore it causes another inconvenience. Technical Solution
[6] In view of solving the problems of those conventional devices, the object of the present invention is to provide a pressurizing device for food pickling, in which the pressurizing device can be simultaneously removed with a lid, upon opening the container.
[7] Further, another object of the invention is to provide a pressurizing device for food pickling, of which height can be variably adjusted corresponding to the level of the food in the container, by using a multi-level space adjusting means. Brief Description of the Drawings

[35] Mode for the Invention
[36] The characteristic feature and advantages of the present invention may be clearly understood by the following detailed description of the invention with referencing the drawings attached herein.
[37] Fig. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the pressurizing device for food pickling according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a vertical cross- sectional view illustrating the coupled state of the pressurizing device with a container of Fig. 1, which is roughly, comprised of a container(2) where food(6) is kept, a lid(8), a pressurizing plate(14) and a space adjusting means.
[38] The pressurizing plate(14) comprises a communicating hole(16) in the center, and cylindrical coupling bases(18) protruded from the upper surface at each side of the hole.
[39] The space adjusting means comprises a space adjusting column(20) in cylindrical shape, of which the lower part is fixed to the coupling base(18) of the pressurizing plate(14).
[40] The lid(8) comprises a fastening ring(lθ) so as to be (de)coupled to a fastening protrusion(4) formed on the container(2), and coupling bases(12) protruded from the bottom surface of the lid(8) so as to be coupled to the upper part of the space adjusting column(20).
[41] As said above, the pressurizing device of the present invention comprises the coupling bases(12) protruded from the bottom surface of the lid(8), and the coupling bases(12) are coupled and supported to the upper part of the space adjusting columns(20) or the coupling bases(18) of the pressurizing plate(14).
[42] In use, as shown in Fig. 2, the pressurizing device for food pickling of the present invention is coupled to the container(2) by being subsequently connected to the coupling bases(12) of the lid(8), the space adjusting columns(20) and the coupling bases(18) of the pressurizing plate(14), and when taking out the food(6) from the container(2), the space adjusting columns(20) and the pressurizing plate(14) which are connected to the lid(8) are removed together with the lid(8) as opening the lid(8).
[43] In such pressurizing device for food pickling of the present invention, an upper plate for the pressurizing device is not required, which means reduction in the number of parts of the device, thereby saving the production cost.
[44] Further, since the upper part of the space adjusting columns(20) of the device is fixed to the coupling bases(12) of the bottom surface of the lid(8), the space adjusting columns(20) and the pressurizing plate(14) in the container(20) are also removed or placed along with the opening or closing of the lid(8), and this mechanism eliminates the inconvenient procedure to remove the pressurizing device in the container(2) separately when taking out the food.
[45] Fig. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a pressurizing device for food pickling according to another embodiment of the present invention, showing the application of the pressurizing device to a cylindrical container(22) and lid(24) thereof.
[46] In this embodiment of the present invention, a coupling base(26), which is one of characteristic element of the present invention, is protruded from the bottom surface of the lid(24) so as to be coupled to the upper part of a space adjusting column(28), that is a space adjusting means, while the lower part of the space adjusting column(28) is fixed to a coupling base(38) protruded from a pressurizing plate(30).
[47] Therefore, in this embodiment also, the upper plate of the pressurizing plate is not required, and thus the same effect as in the embodiment illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 can be achieved.
[48] Figs. 4 and 7 are perspective views and vertical cross-sectional views in coupled state, which illustrate a pressurizing device for food pickling according to still another embodiment of the present invention. The pressurizing device for food pickling according to this embodiment comprises roughly, a pressurizing plate(60), a first spacer(66), a second spacer(74), a third spacer(84) and fastening pin(92), wherein those spacers have a hollow center.
[49] The pressurizing plate(60) is placed on the top of the food in the container so as to pressurize and support the food, and comprises a coupling flange(62) protruded from the center of the upper surface thereof wherein pin holes(64) are formed around the coupling flange(62).
[50] The first spacer(66) is set in the coupling flange(62) of the pressurizing plate(60), and comprises a first protrusion(68) which is bent laterally from the upper rim of the spacer toward the axis, a first fastening hole(70) formed on each side of the upper part, and an auxiliary hole(72) formed on the lower part, under the first fastening hole(70).
[51] The second spacer(74) can be raised along the inner wall of the first spacer(66) while being inserted in the first spacer(66), and comprises a second flange(82) protruded outward laterally from the rim of the bottom so as to be supported by the first protrusion(68) of the first spacer(66), a second protrusion(76) which is bent laterally from the upper rim of the spacer toward the axis, a second fastening hole(78) formed on each side of the upper part, and an auxiliary hole(80) formed on the lower part, under the second fastening hole(78).
[52] The third spacer(84) can be raised along the inner wall of the second spacer(74) while being inserted in the second spacer(74), and comprises a third flange(86) protruded outward laterally from the rim of the bottom so as to be supported by the second protrusion(76) of the second spacer(74), and a third auxiliary hole(88).
[53] The fastening pin(92) which couples the first, second and third spacers(66,74,84) to form a single body, on the most extended state of the first, second and third spacers(66,74,84), is inserted to the first auxiliary hole(72) of the first spacer(66) and a pin hole(64) of the pressurizing plate(60) for supporting, and is also inserted into the first fastening hole(70) of the first spacer(66) and the second fastening hole(78) of the second spacer(74) to support the bottom part of the second flange(82) of the second spacer(74) and the bottom part of the third flange(86) of the third spacer(84).
[54] The fastening pins(92), when the first, second and third spacers(66,74,84) are folded as shown in Fig. 6, are inserted to the pin hole(64) of the pressurizing plate(60), the first auxiliary hole(72) of the first spacer(66), the second auxiliary hole(80) of the second spacer(74), and the third auxiliary hole(88) of the third spacer(84), respectively.
[55] Further, as shown in Fig. 7 which is in the extended state of the first spacer(66), the second spacer(74) and the third spacer(84), the fastening pins(92) can be inserted to the first auxiliary hole(72) of the first spacer(66) and the pin hole(64) of the pressurizing plate(60) for coupling and supporting the first spacer and the plate, and can be inserted to the first fastening hole(70) of the first spacer(66) and the second auxiliary hole(80) of the second spacer(74), and to the second fastening hole(78) of the second spacer(74) and the third auxiliary hole(88) of the third spacer(84).
[56] The third spacer(84) has a coupling hole(90) formed in the center of the upper part thereof, and to the inner wall of the coupling hole(90), an elastic member(94) is fixed so that a coupling protrusion(56) formed in the center of a coupling base(54) of a lid(52) may be elastically fixed into said elastic member(94).
[57] In other words, when said multi-level space adjusting means is used in the container in the extended state as in Fig. 5 or Fig. 7, the coupling protrusion(56) of the lid(52) is fixed to the elastic member(94) that is formed in the third spacer(84).
[58] Therefore, in the embodiment shown in Figs. 4 to 7, when opening the lid, the multi-level space adjusting means and the pressurizing plate(60) are also separated from the container(50) along with the lid.
[59] Additionally, a pin holder(58) is further formed at a certain part of the bottom surface of the lid(52), hence when the fastening pins(92) are not in use, they can be kept at the pin holder.
[60] Fig. 8 is a perspective view illustrating a pressurizing device for food pickling according to still another embodiment of the present invention, which relates to a modified structure of a pressurizing plate for pressing food(6) in a container.
[61] The embodiment includes pluralities of fixing pieces(201) protruded on the upper and the lower part of the inner wall of a container(200) so as to immobilize a pressurizing plate(210), and a pressurizing plate(210) that is fixed by said fixing pieces(201), wherein at the periphery of the pressurizing plate(210), pluralities of bendable fixing wings(211) are integrally formed, and on each of the fixing wing(211), an insert slit(212) receiving the fixing pieces(201) by insertion is formed.
[62] In use of this embodiment, the pressurizing plate(210) is coupled to the container by inserting the fixing pieces(201) into the insert slit(212) formed on each fixing wing(211) while being in the state of pressurizing food, so as to contribute to the pickling of food(6) therein.
[63] Fig. 9 is a cross-sectional view illustrating another embodiment of the present invention in use, which relates to another form of a pressurizing plate(220) that is immobilized in the container by fixing pieces(201).
[64] In this embodiment, the pressurizing plate(220) is tightly fixed under the fixing pieces(201), and is formed of separate pieces particularly for the convenience of the fixing procedure.
[65] Specifically, the pressurizing plate(220) is comprised of pluralities of separate plates(221,222), wherein the separate plate(221) being placed in the center comprises a coupling end part(223) on each end of the separate plate and a coupling hole(224) formed on the coupling end part(223), and the separate plates(222) adjacent to each side of the separate plate in the center comprises a coupling end part(223) and a coupling protrusion(225) which is inserted to the coupling hole(224) formed on the coupling end part(223).
[66] In fixing the pressurizing plate(220) to the container, separate plates(222) for each side are firstly placed tightly under the fixing piece(201), and then as shown in Fig. 9, the separate plate(221) in the center is engaged thereto through the coupling hole(224) and the fixing piece(201). By doing so, the entire fixing process of the pressurizing plate(220) becomes more easy and convenient.
[67] Fig. 10 shows another form of a pressurizing plate(220) that is immobilized in the container by fixing pieces(201).
[68] In Fig. 10, the pressurizing plate(lOO) comprises a first pressurizing plate(102) where pluralities of holes(104) are arranged, and a second pressurizing plate(106) where pluralities of protrusions(108) which are coupled to the corresponding holes(104) of the other pressurizing plate are formed. [69] This type of pressurizing plate(lOO) can be suitably applied to a container having a rather big inner diameter, by connecting the first pressurizing plate(102) and the second pressurizing plate(106) so as to enlarge the area pressing the food to be pickled.
[70] Figs. 11 to 1 lb show still other embodiment of the present invention, which relates to a pressurizing device comprising a pressurizing plate(230) and an auxiliary pressurizing plate(235) having a bigger size than that of the pressurizing plate(230), wherein the auxiliary pressurizing plate can be coupled to the pressurizing plate(230) as one body, in view of the fact that a pressurizing plate(230) immobilized by fixing pieces(201) formed on the container(200) may not be suitably used if the size of the pressurizing plate(230) is relatively smaller than the size of the corresponding container(200).
[71] In order to achieve this, the pressurizing plate(230) has a structure comprising a protruded line(231) formed on each side of the upper surface, and an auxiliary pressurizing plate(235) which has a relatively larger size than that of the pressurizing plate(230) and is placed right under the pressurizing plate(230), contacting with the back surface of the pressurizing plate(230).
[72] The auxiliary pressurizing plate(235) comprises a folding line(236) on each side, a coupling segment(237) which is formed in foldable way, as an integral part, on each side thereof by the folding line(236), and an insert slit(238) that is engaged with the protruded line(231) of the pressurizing plate(230) by insertion.
[73] Therefore, when the size of the pressurizing plate(230) is relatively small, as shown in Fig. 1 lb, it can be suitably used to the relatively large container(200) owing to the substantially enlarged size of the pressurizing plate(230) by the use of the auxiliary pressurizing plate(235), by closely placing the auxiliary pressurizing plate(235) under the pressurizing plate(230), folding the coupling segment(237) inward by the folding line(236), inserting the protruded line(231) into the insert slit(238) wherein the coupling segment(237) is wrapping around each side end of the pressurizing plate(230) in this while.
[74] Further, Figs. 12 and 12a show still other embodiment of the present invention, which relates to another form of a pressurizing plate(240) immobilized by fixing pieces(201).
[75] In this embodiment, the pressurizing plate(240) is tightly fixed under the fixing pieces(201), and is formed of separate pieces particularly for the convenience of the fixing procedure.
[76] The pressurizing plate(240) comprises pluralities of separate plates(241,242), wherein the separate plate(241) placed in the center among the pluralities of the separate plates(241,242) can be slid from each side end into the adjacent coupling channel(243) formed on each side of the bottom surface of other separate plates(242) so as to form one body, and each of the separate plates(241,242) commonly comprises a handle(244) formed on the upper surface for the convenience of gripping when their coupling.
[77] The stable and firm coupling of the separate plates(241,242) without any move may be achieved by firstly coupling the separate plate(241) in the center to any one of other separate plates(242) to narrow the width laterally, placing the other separate plate(242) on the unengaged side end of the separate plate in the center, and sliding the separate plate(241) in the center into the other separate plate(242) for coupling, thereby simultaneously coupling the separate plate(241) in the center to each separate plate(242).
[78] Although the fixing pieces(201 ) and pressurizing plates(210,220,230,240) of the present invention have been described as being applied to a container(200) in the form of a quadrilateral, they can be applied to various shapes of containers such as a circle, without being essentially limited to those described herein.
[79] Figs. 13 to 15 show still other embodiment of the present invention, which relates to a pressurizing device having a modified pressurizing plate(250) and a modified fixing means(255) formed on a container(201).
[80] In this embodiment, pluralities of fixing protrusions(256) are formed in the container(201), specifically at the middle part of each side of the bottom and at the part on the upper wall which is in the vertical line from the middle part on the bottom, wherein to the fixing protrusion(256), separately prepared fixing member(257) is attached for fixing a pressurizing plate(250).
[81] The fixing member(257) has a bent part on each side, which makes the shape of a cup so that it can be tightly contacted with the surface of the inner walls facing each other and the surface of the bottom, and comprises pluralities fixing holes(258) and fixing teeth(259), wherein the fixing holes(258) are formed on the upper wall and the bottom of the fixing member, corresponding to each fixing protrusion(256), so as to be engaged with the protrusion, and wherein the fixing teeth(259) are formed with a certain interval on the inner wall, in vertical direction.
[82] In use, a pair of the fixing members(257) are placed in the container in a way crossing each other at a right angle, as shown in Fig. 13b, and the pluralities of fixing holes(258) are engaged with the corresponding fixing protrusions(256) on the container(201), thereby forming one body with the container(201)
[83] The pressurizing plate(250) which is immobilized by the above-mentioned fixing member(257) comprises stopping piece(251) protruded laterally from each end of the four sides, wherein each of the stopping pieces(251) is inserted between the teeth(259) formed on the fixing member(257), thereby achieving a firmly fixed state and pressurizing the food effectively. [84] The above-mentioned embodiments regarding Figs. 8 to 15 do not require a separate pressurizing means which gives load to a pressurizing plate nor a fixing device formed on the lid, unlike the embodiments represented by Figs. 1 to 7 where, when the lid is set on the container, the pressurizing plate is pressed by means of a separate pressurizing means placed between the lid and the pressurizing plate, with using a fixing device formed on the lid.
[85] Therefore, the embodiments regarding Figs. 8 to 15 are characterized by providing convenience in application of this device to any general container without a fixing device or a separate pressurizing means and in storage owing to its small volume and reduced number of parts.
[86] Industrial Applicability
[87] According to the pressurizing device for food pickling of the present invention as described above, an upper plate for the pressurizing device is eliminated, and the upper part of the space adjusting means of the pressurizing device is coupled and supported by the coupling base(12)(26)(54) formed on the lower part of the lid(8)(24)(52)(200) or by the coupling protrusion(56), therefore the pressurizing device in the container is removed or placed along with the opening or closing of the lid, which provides effects of eliminating inconvenience of removing the pressurizing device separately to take out the food in the container as well as of reducing the number of parts of the pressurizing device thereby saving the production cost.
