Abstract

The invention provides a human MAP3K13 which is associated with cardiovascular diseases, endocrinological diseases, metabolic diseases, inflammation (e.g. liver cirrhosis), neurological diseases (e.g. Alzheimer), urological diseases, respiratory diseases and cancern (e.g. prostate tumor). The invention also provides assays for the identification of compounds useful in the treatment or prevention of cardiovascular diseases, endocrinological diseases, metabolic diseases, inflammation, neurological diseases, urological diseases, respiratory diseases and cancer. The invention also features compounds which bind to and/or activate or inhibit the activity of MAP3K13 as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds.
