Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem
Since a book is generally made of paper as above, the cover or the book binding part of a book becomes worn out and the damaged as time passes and people uses. Therefore, there has always been a problem that a book made of paper is difficult to be kept for a long period of time.
Technical Solution The present invention has been designed to solve the problems of the prior art. The object of the present invention is to provide a tape for book repair for convenient mending of a damaged book.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a tape for book repair which makes long term storage of a book possible, by repairing the damages of the book. In order to achieve the above-mentioned objects, the tape for book repair according to the present invention is characterized by comprising a tape and a release sheet which is attached to the adhesive side of the tape, having a shape corresponding to the shape of the tape, wherein the release sheet comprises the central part and each side part that is separable from the central part by the presence of a cutting line, and wherein the tape
comprises a first adhesive part that contacts with the central part of the release sheet, and a second adhesive part that contacts with the each side part of the release sheet.
The tape for book repair of the present invention is roughly, comprised of a tape part having an adhesive side, and a release sheet having a shape corresponding to the shape of the tape part and being attached to the adhesive side of the tape. Since the adhesive side of the tape part is protected by the release sheet, it is possible to make the storage and transport of the tape of the present invention easier and more convenient.
Specifically, the release sheet comprises the central part and each side part that is separable from the central part by a cutting line. The tape comprises a first adhesive part where the central part of the release sheet is attached and a second adhesive part where the each side part of the release sheet is attached. When repairing the damaged part of a book, the first adhesive part is adhered to the center of the damaged part, after peeling off the central part of the release sheet from the first adhesive part. Then, the each side of the release sheet on the second adhesive part is peeled off, and the exposed second adhesive part is adhered to the each side of the damaged part, thereby being conveniently repairing the book.
In the above, when, on the tape, a folding line is formed on a position of the tape part, which corresponds to the cutting line of the release sheet, the first adhesive part and the second adhesive part can be easily folded. The term "folding line" used in the present specification, refers to a part where a crease is formed as a single line to help easy folding, though it does not make separation like the cutting line.
Advantageous Effects
The present invention is characterized in that the first adhesive part is primarily attached with covering the damaged part of a book, and the second adhesive part is secondly attached to with covering the surroundings of the damaged part as well as the damaged part, thereby perfectly covering the damaged part and simultaneously ensuring more stable adhesion of the repair tape to the damaged part.
The shape of the tape for book repair may be varied upon the position, shape, etc. of the damaged part of a book. Likewise, the shapes of said first and second adhesive parts and the position of the cutting line thereupon may also be variously changed so as to achieve more correct adhesion to the damaged part of a book.
Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to do a custom-made repair corresponding to the various parts of a book, where damages are likely to occur, such as a binding part, the corners of a binding part, or the corners of a book cover.

Mode for Invention
Hereinafter, the preferred embodiments of the tape for book repair according to the present invention are described in detail with referencing the drawings attached hereto. Figs. 1 to 4 schematically illustrate one embodiment of the tape for book repair for mending the binding part of a book according to the present invention.
Fig. 1 discloses a front view of a tape for book repair (100), which has the same length with the binding part of a book to be repaired. Owing to being a front view, the backside of the tape part (1 10) is not seen in the figure, and a release sheet (120) is attached onto the tape part (110). The release sheet (120) can be separated into the central part (121) and side parts (122) thereof by the cutting line (CL), wherein the cutting line (CL) is formed along the lengthwise direction of the binding part.
Fig. 2 illustrates the repair tape where the release sheet (120) is partially peeled off from the tape part (110), thereby exposing the tape part (110) in partial. The release sheet (120) can be separated from the tape part (110) as being divided into the central part (121) and each side part (122), independently, owing to the presence of the cutting line (CL). Further, the tape parts corresponding to the central part (121) and each side part (122) of the release sheet are the first adhesive part (111) and the second adhesive part (112), respectively. The boundary line between the first adhesive part (1 11) and the second adhesive part (112) forms a folding line (FL).
A repairing process of the damaged binding part of a book with the tape for book repair (100) is described hereinafter, with referencing to Figs. 3 and 4.
Firstly, the central part (121) of the release sheet is peeled off, and thus the exposed first adhesive part (111) is attached to the damaged binding part of a book along its lengthwise direction as shown in Fig 3. Then, each side part (122) of the release sheet is peeled off, and thus the exposed second adhesive parts (112) are attached to the each side
of the binding part surrounding the part of the book covers, thereby making the book repair on the binding part completed.
Figs. 5 to 7 illustrate another embodiment of the present invention, in order to repair the corner of a binding part. According to this second embodiment, the repair tape (200) is characterized in that the second adhesive part (212) of the tape part (210) comprises a bent segment (213), which is formed to be bent with a certain angle at the outer end of the second adhesive part.
Therefore, as shown in Fig. 5, the each side part (222) of the release sheet covering the tape part (210) also has a bent segment (223) formed by being bent with a certain angle. Though it will be discussed herein later, the upper parts (213a, 223a) of the bent segments (213, 223) are attached to the inside of the each book cover by being bent inward, therefore it is preferred that a folding line (FL) is formed on the boundary of the upper part (213 a) and the lower part of the bent segment (213) on the second adhesive part. Further, for the sake of convenient folding of the upper part (213 a) of the bent segment, it is preferred that a notch (A) for bending is formed at a position where said bent segment (223) starts to extend.
Since the second embodiment is also to repair the binding part of a book, the cutting line (CL) of the release sheet (220) is also formed along the lengthwise direction of the binding part. Fig. 6 illustrates a tape where the release sheet (220) is partially peeled off from the tape part (210), thereby exposing the tape part (210) in partial. The release sheet (220) can be separated from the tape part (210) as being divided into the central part (221) and each side part (222) owing to the presence of the cutting line (CL). Further, the tape part corresponding to the central part (221) and each side part (222) of the release sheet are the first adhesive part (211) and the second adhesive part (212), respectively. The boundary line between the first adhesive part (211) and the second adhesive part (212) forms a folding line (FL).
A repairing process of the damaged binding part of a book with said tape for book repair (200) is described hereafter, with referencing to Fig. 7. Firstly, the central part (221) of the release sheet is peeled off, and thus the exposed first adhesive part (211) is attached to the damaged binding part along its lengthwise direction. Then, the each side part (222) of the release sheet is peeled off, and thus the exposed second adhesive parts (212) are attached to the each side of the binding part surrounding the part of the book covers. Finally, the upper part (213a) of the bent segment (213) on the secondary adhesive part (212) is attached to the inside of the cover by folding it inward. As a result, the tape part (210) is completely attached to the binding
part and the inside and outside part of a book cover abutting to the binding part, thereby making the repair of the whole comer of the binding part completed perfectly.
Figs. 8 to 10 represent a third embodiment for repairing the comer of the book cover. The tape for book repair (300) according to the embodiment is characterized by being formed as the shape of an isosceles trapezoid with each side of the base being partly cut out. In the two parallel sides of a trapezoid, the one having longer length is referred to a base and the other is referred to the upper base, therefore the bases in Figs. 8 and 10 are the upper sides where a notch (A) for bending is formed.
Further, the first adhesive part (311 ) of the tape part (310), which corresponds to the central part (321) of the release sheet, is formed as the shape of an isosceles triangle, where the median of the upper base in the trapezoid is provided as the summit of the triangle; the sides being parallel with the isosceles sides (each slanted side) of the trapezoid are provided as the isosceles sides of the triangle; and the base of the trapezoid is provided as the base of the triangle. The second adhesive parts (312) that correspond to the both sides (322) of the release sheet and the both sides of the first adhesive part (211), are also formed as the shape of a trapezoid. The second adhesive part (312) is to be folded in a way of being contacted with the inside of the book cover.
On the base of the isosceles triangle, a notch (A) for bending is formed at a position on the base, wherein when extending an imaginary vertical line from the angular point (P) of the first adhesive part (311), the position of the base meets with the vertical line.
In Fig. 9, the central part (321) and each side part (322) of the release sheet (320) are separated from the tape part (310), and thus the first adhesive part (311) and the second adhesive part (312) of the tape part are exposed.
A repairing process of the damaged comer of a book cover with said tape for book repair (300) is described hereafter, with referencing to Fig. 10.
The central part (321) of the release sheet is peeled off, and thus the exposed first adhesive part (311) that is in the form of an isosceles triangle is attached to the comer of the outer surface of the book cover. Then, each side part (322) of the release sheet is peeled off to expose the second adhesive part (312), and the exposed second adhesive part (312) is folded along with the edges of the comer of the cover and attached to the inside of the cover to complete the repair.
On the other hand, in the third embodiment of the present invention, the repair of the cover can be properly carried out, even if the shape of the tape for book repair (300) is a perfect isosceles trapezoid without cut-out parts on each side of the base. While the tape for book repair according to the present invention has been described
with reference to the specific embodiments thereof, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that the scope of the present invention is by no means restricted by those embodiments, which are suggested with only illustrative purpose. In addition, it should be obvious to those skilled in the art that various changes or modifications may be made without departing from the true spirit and scope of the invention, which are shown in the claims appended hereto.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, the tape for book repair according to the present invention makes it possible to repair various damaged parts of a book, for example binding part, comers of binding part or cover and the like in simple and convenient way.
Further, the tape for book repair ensures the perfect repair of damaged parts of a book, owing to the first adhesive part and the second adhesive part, which are attached to the damaged part in a way of completely wrapping it around.
