A TABLE TOP MOBILE OPERATION THEATRE
TECHNICAL FIELD :
This invention relates to an operation theatre to carry out surgery on human body, more particularly to a tabletop mobile major operation theatre, which provides extreme sterile atmosphere through out the length of surgery and intraoperative sterilization of the surgical intruments.
BACKGROUND ART :
The conventional operation theatre in the prior arts have certain drawbacks such as these requires large space, so the level of proper sterilization is always debatable. This cant be mobile or dismantled or folded. The patient and operative team remain inside the operation theatre during surgery. The whole operation theatre is to be sealed for the sterilization. The duration for sterilization is more and the sterilization volume is large, so large quantity of the sterilization material also required. Irritation of eyes with remnant fumes occurs in operation theatre even after exhaustion. The sterilization process is stopped before the human entry and surgery, so the sterility starts deteriorating after human entry and during surgery and maximum deterioration at the end of surgery. Due to lack of proper sterile and clean atmosphere the patient needs routine antibiotics post operatively so there are chances of side and adverse effects too. In this type of operation theatre the first patient only gets proper sterile atmosphere so the chances of hospital acquired cross infection is more. The operative team need to wear full gowns, cap and mask. The staffs with infective ailments cannot work in the operation theatre. The heat loss from the patient body is also more. Only air conditioner can be used for cooling the operation theatre and the power consumption for lighting is very high too.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION :
The principal object of the present invention is to obviate the above - mentioned drawbacks in the conventional operation theatre and to provide facility of major surgeries in under developed areas and emergency sites.
Another object of the invention is to reduce the essential cost of surgery to great extent.
A further object of the inventions is to keep up surgeons working stamina during prolonged surgical procedures.
A yet further object of the invention is to provide equally sterile to every patient during. successive surgeries.
Still another object of the invention is to minimize power consumption during surgery. Another object of the invention is to minimize hospital acquired cross infection.
A still further object of the invention is to improve learning operative techniques to junior doctors as they can have more close and detailed view of operative field.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide properly equipped major surgical operation theatre in ambulance.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTIONS :
The tabletop mobile major operation theatre (A), as shown in figure 30 comprising a surgical material Cabinet (B) surgery chamber (C), concealed instrument trolley (D) and an operation table (E),
The surgical material cabinet being a cabinet with a closable transparent acrylic shutter where all the essential surgical materials are kept and the same is fitted on the front of the said surgery chamber [C], this provides a platform (1) for compact boyle's apparatus, an anaesthesia drug drawer (2) and spring action shutters (3) as shown in figures 1 and 2. The concealed instrument trolley (D) where all the sterile instruments required for surgery are kept is fitted to the rear of the surgery chamber with patient
passage opening in surgery chamber. The trolley has a part (42) which is attached to the surgery chamber. There is provided open space (44) for curtain cum nurse's sleeves (51) attachment. There is a shutter lid (43) at the rear end. There is provided a surgical cartridge (45) to keep a set of essential instruments for any major general surgery. There is a provided a multi load magazine (46) for the said surgical cartridge. The magazine has a lid (48) for loading surgical cartridge, a shutter lid opening outward with inward tension (50), a piston (47) to push surgical cartridge ahead and a slope on the floor (49) for easy forward gliding. There are curtain with nurse's sleeves (51) attached to the sides and an elastic border (52) for firm grip to the main instrument chamber. There is a base support having a folding level (54) and a part (53) for attachment to the rear of surgery chamber. The base can also be folded (55) as shown in fig. 25.
The said surgery chamber (C) being a concealed chamber where the surgery is performed consisting of a Metal body frame (G) as its skeleton. The frame is made of thin rectangular steel pipes (6). This is mounted on four wheels (12). This can be foldable at the fold level (10) as shown in figure. 6. There are provided height adjustment level (7) with adjustment knob. There are provided stands (4) with knob (5) for hanging of IN. fluids. There is a region (9) for the zip attachment and grooves (11) for instrument trolley support.
Foldable airtight waterproof curtain cum drapes (13) with sleeves (17) is attached to the region (9) of the frame with a zip (14) for concealing the surgery chamber. There are holes (13a) provided in the curtain cum drape for insertion of hands of the surgeon or assistant. There is a zip (15) to make an eyehole for surgery. There is an opening with a zip (16) for attachment of waste receptacle. A waste receiving disposable bag (38) with a stiff rim(39) is attached to the said opening (16). There is provided an elastic belt (18) for firmly gripping the frame. The top is covered with an acrylic transparent top. Front panel of the said chamber is made of stainless steel to accommodate the surgical material cabinet. The front panel consists of parts (19) and (20). The part 19 is attached to the main body frame and the part (20) allows the fixing of surgical material cabinet. The rear panel made of acrylic sheet to accommodate concealed instrument trolley. The rear panel consists of parts (21) and (22) The part 22 is
attached to the main body frame and the part (21) allows the fixing of instrument trolley.
A dry bacterial filter (23) filters the ordinary room air (26), The air thus filtered (27) is made to pass through a wet filter (24) soaked in bacillocid fluid, the clean sterilized air (28) thus obtained is further uv sterilized by the ultraviolet tube lights (25). The uv sterilized clean air (28 a) is then circulated by an exhaust fan (30) in the operation theatre and clean and additionally sterilized air (27) out of ordinary room air (26) is obtained . Supporting rolling base (F) made of steel mounted on the operation table (E) to provide easy movement of the tabletop mobile major operation theatre along the operation table. This supporting rolling base consists of two rail bars (32) for the wheels of the main frame of the surgery chamber and support bars (33) Fluorescent tube light (34) with opaque tube shade (35) of acrylic and flexible snake lights with flexible body (36) and head with bulb (37) are provided for the lighting of the chamber.
The operation table (E) consisting a body frame and a tabletop made of steel.
WORKING OF THE INVENTIONS :
The instrument trolley , is filled with all operative autoclaved instruments, surgical material cabinet is filled with all required surgical material and is rolled to the food end of the operation table. The patient is then taken on the operation table. Skin prepping spray is applied on operative area and allowed to dry. The tabletop mobile major operation, theatre is then rolled forward over patient's body and surgery chambers is adjusted over the prepared body area to be operated. The bacteria filter is soaked with the diluted bacillocid fluid. Bacillol is sprayed on the inner surfaces of the operation theatre. The lights, fans and uv systems are made on. The autoclaved drape cum sleeves wrapped in paper are taken and fixed to the operation theatre with the zipping arrangement. Nurse's (57) sleeve portion is put in the instrument trolley with sterilium handwash. The hand wash is repeated. The surgeon (55) and the assistants (56) insert hands in sleeves. They put gloves on and open zip of a drape to make desired sized eye opening on the drape. Now the eye opening is exposing the desired prepared operative field and the zip is locked. Sterile transparent adhesive incise drape applied on
operative area and area around the eyehole of a drape. Now the theatre is concealed and sterile structure fully ready to go ahead with surgery.
