  • the supplier can enter data into the structured form about the product or service in response to the buyer's data.
  • the supplier can enter data for 4 of the 10 fields, such as a price, quantity available, ship date, and delivery method.
  • the supplier can also change data in a field that the buyer entered data into. For example, if the buyer entered data into a price field, the supplier can respond by deleting the buyer's price and entering a different price into the price field.
  • a structured form is displayed to the buyer, which contains the data previously entered by the supplier and the buyer.

Abstract

Selon l'invention, un portail Internet permet à des acheteurs potentiels de localiser des fournisseurs de divers biens ou services et de communiquer directement avec eux. Les acheteurs potentiels peuvent effectuer une recherche de fournisseurs par l'intermédiaire du portail Internet. Les acheteurs choisissent ensuite des fournisseurs dans une liste de fournisseurs identifiés au cours d'au moins une recherche. L'acheteur peut se connecter directement au site Web des fournisseurs choisis. L'acheteur peut ensuite choisir au moins un produit présenté sur le site du fournisseur. Des informations non structurées concernant les produits choisis sont alors converties en informations structurées et classées dans une base de données. L'acheteur peut transmettre des demandes d'informations, des demandes de cotes, et passer des commandes directement aux fournisseurs, par l'intermédiaire du portail Internet. Les acheteurs et les fournisseurs peuvent collaborer et négocier entre eux par l'intermédiaire du portail, afin d'obtenir des conditions finales acceptables en vue d'une transaction.
