Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un ensemble formant anneau de pression (10) utilisable dans un four à arc électrique, ledit ensemble formant anneau de pression (10) comportant au moins deux segments (22) d'anneau de pression coopérant l'un avec l'autre, au moins un patin de contact (50) disposé entre l'anneau de pression (20) et une électrode, et un ensemble formant piston (40) disposé entre le segment (22) d'anneau de pression et le patin de contact (50) et adapté pour solliciter le patin de contact (50) vers un contact électrique avec l'électrode. L'ensemble formant anneau de pression (10) est caractérisé en ce qu'il est réalisé en un alliage métallique dans lequel un premier métal de l'alliage est le cuivre et un deuxième métal est choisi dans le groupe composé du chrome et de l'argent. L'ensemble formant anneau de pression (10) est caractérisé en outre en ce que chacun des segments (22) d'anneau de pression comprend deux zones d'appui coniques (27) définies à l'intérieur du segment (22) d'anneau de pression et adaptées pour coopérer avec des moyens de raccordement (60) présentant une conicité complémentaire de sorte que les segments (22) d'anneau de pression soient tirés l'un vers l'autre lors de l'installation de l'ensemble formant anneau de pression. Par ailleurs, l'ensemble formant anneau de pression (10) comprend des moyens d'étanchéité entre l'anneau de pression et le patin de contact (50).
