Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés de production de papier ou de carton. Un procédé préféré consiste à former une pâte traitée en ajoutant à une pâte à papier un silicate stratifié synthétique, un peptisant et au moins un polymère. De préférence, le silicate stratifié synthétique comprend un silicate de magnésium lithium sodium hydrate synthétique et le polymère est sélectionné parmi les polymères cationiques, non ioniques et amphotères. Le peptisant est, de préférence, un peptisant polyphosphate inorganique et est contenu dans certains produits de silicate stratifié synthétique commerciaux. L'inventeur a trouvé, de manière étonnante, que le peptisant apporte une nette amélioration dans le drainage, la rétention et la turbidité, améliorant ainsi le procédé de production de papier et le papier ou le carton.
