Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cap closure with a security band for containers of liquids, particularly for bottles of which the opening is situated at the end of a neck which extends axially from the body of the bottle and which has, on its outer surface, a thread which is engaged by a corresponding matching thread formed on the internal surface of the cap, as well as an annular projection extending radially and positioned between the thread and the body of the bottle at a predetermined axial distance from the thread, the projection defining an abutment beneath which an annular rib carried by the internal surface of the security band of the cap is engaged, the band having a free edge at one of its ends and being connected axially to the cap at the opposite end by means of a circumferential line of weakening.
