Abstract

Un siège élévateur (1) de bain comprend un châssis (5) prévu pour se trouver, en utilisation, au fond d'une baignoire, le châssis supportant un siège (8) monté de manière mobile, ledit siège pouvant se déplacer entre des positions haute et basse au moyen d'un mécanisme de levage (11) fonctionnant avec des accumulateurs, ledit mécanisme de levage comprenant ou incluant un moteur électrique (15) pourvu d'un arbre moteur (16), d'une vis sans fin (17) qui est fixée à l'arbre moteur et en prise avec un engrenage cylindrique (18) monté de manière à tourner avec un arbre mené (19), l'arbre mené entraînant directement ou indirectement une extrémité filetée d'un bras (14) d'actionnement mobile de manière linéaire pour ainsi monter ou baisser le siège. Le système se caractérise en ce que l'arbre mené comprend au moins un moyen terminal (22) qui se couple à une manette (23) pour faire tourner l'arbre mené indépendamment du moteur électrique et en ce que le pas de la vis sans fin et par conséquent de l'engrenage cylindrique est tel que cela permet à l'arbre mené de pouvoir tourner par l'action de la manette plutôt que par le moteur électrique.
