[0012] 残留ダイナミックレンジと記録感度の関係は、材料系や記録光のパラメータによって 異なるので一概には言えないが、一般に残留ダイナミックレンジが少ないほど記録感 度が低下する傾向がある。このためグラフに示すようなダイナミックレンジの不均一性 があると、形成されるグレーティング強度にムラが生じ、再生像の歪みやビットエラー 率増大の原因となる。
発明の開示
[0013] この発明は、多重記録の場合の、記録層内でのダイナミックレンジの不均一性によ る、グレーティング強度のムラを抑制し、再生像の歪みを解消することを課題とする。
[0014] 本発明者は、鋭意研究の結果、ホログラフィック多重記録の際に、記録層における ダイナミックレンジが均一となるように記録のスケジューリングをすることによって、上 記問題点を解決できることを見出した。
[0015] 即ち、以下の本発明により上記目的を達成することができる。

[0033] 前記記録層 20Aは、レーザ光に感光して屈折率を変化させる感光材料により構成 されて 、るので、干渉模様は記録層の屈折率分布として記録される。 [0034] 前記ホログラフィック記録媒体 20の記録層 20Aに記録されたディジタルデータの再 生時には、空間光変調器 24Aの全画素を OFF状態 (物体光を遮断する状態)とし、 再生光 (参照光)のみをホログラフィック記録媒体 20に照射する。このとき、記録層 20 Aに既に記録されている屈折率分布は回折格子、即ち体積ホログラムとして働き、再 生光の少なくとも一部が回折光に変換されて、記録時の物体光と同じビーム(回折光 )が現われ、これが、結像光学系 26における撮像素子 26Bの検出面に、前記物体光 路上の空間光変調器 24Aの実像として結像される。

Claims

請求の範囲
物体光と参照光とを照射して、ホログラフィック記録媒体内の記録層に干渉縞を形 成する際に、該物体光と参照光との重複照射領域である記録スポットを、 X軸方向及 ひ Ύ軸方向に僅かずつずれて重なるように形成するホログラフィック多重記録方法で あって、
X軸方向に一定ピッチで重なることなく並ぶ記録スポットからなる記録スポット行を、 Y軸方向に、一定ピッチで重なることなく並べて形成することにより第 1の記録スポット 行列を形成する工程、
前記第 1の記録スポット行列に対して、 X軸方向に僅かに位相をずらして、且つ、 Y 軸方向には同位相、同ピッチの記録スポットからなる記録スポット行を、 Y軸方向に、 一定ピッチで重なることなく並べて形成することにより第 2の記録スポット行列を形成 する工程、
前の記録スポット行列における記録スポット行に対して、 X軸方向に僅かに位相を ずらして、且つ、 Y軸方向には同位相、同ピッチの記録スポットからなる記録スポット 行を、 Y軸方向に、一定ピッチで重なることなく並べて形成することを、第 1の記録ス ポット行列力 最終の記録スポット行列までの X軸方向の位相のずれの総和力 前記 記録スポット行間の X軸方向のピッチと等しくなる直前まで繰り返して、第 3の記録ス ポット行列力 最終の記録スポット行列までを形成する工程、
からなる第 1段多重記録スポット行列を形成する X軸方向第 1多重記録工程と、 前記 X軸方向第 1多重記録工程と同様の X軸方向第 2乃至最終多重記録工程を繰 り返して第 2段乃至最終段多重記録スポット行列を形成する工程と、
を有してなり、
前記第 1の記録スポット行列から最終の記録スポット行列までの X軸方向の位相の ずれの総和力 前記記録スポット行間の X軸方向のピッチと等しくなる直前までに設 定され、
前記 X軸方向第 2乃至最終多重記録工程は、前記 X軸方向第 1多重記録工程にお ける、各記録スポット行に対して Y軸方向に、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして、且つ、 X軸方向最終多重記録工程までの Y軸方向の位相のずれの総和が、前記記録スポ ット行間の Y軸方向のピッチと等しくなる直前までなされることを特徴とするホログラフ イツク多重記録方法。
[2] 物体光と参照光とを照射して、ホログラフィック記録媒体内の記録層に干渉縞を形 成する際に、該物体光と参照光との重複照射領域である記録スポットを、 X軸方向及 ひ Ύ軸方向に僅かずつずれて重なるように形成するホログラフィック多重記録方法で あって、
X軸方向に一定ピッチで重なることなく並ぶ記録スポットからなる第 1段記録スポット 行を、 Υ軸方向に、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして並べることにより Υ軸方向第 1多重 記録スポット行列を形成する Υ軸方向第 1多重記録工程と、
前記第 1段記録スポット行に対して、 X軸方向に僅かに位相をずらした位置を基準 として、 X軸方向に一定ピッチで重なることなく並ぶ記録スポットからなる第 2段記録ス ポット行を、 Υ軸方向に、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして並べることにより Υ軸方向第 2多重記録スポット行列を形成する Υ軸方向第 2多重記録工程と、
以下、同様にして、 Υ軸方向第 1多重記録スポット行列から Υ軸方向最終多重記録 スポット行列までの X軸方向の位相のずれの総和が、前記記録スポット行間の X軸方 向のピッチと等しくなる直前まで繰り返し、 Υ軸方向第 3多重記録スポット行列から Υ 軸方向最終多重記録スポット行列までを形成する工程と、
を有してなることを特徴とするホログラフィック多重記録方法。

X軸方向に、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして、記録スポットを並べることにより X軸方 向第 1多重記録スポット行を形成する X軸方向第 1多重記録工程、
前記 X軸方向第 1多重記録スポット行に対して、 Υ軸方向に重なることなく平行に隣 接した位置で、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして、記録スポットを並べることにより X軸 方向第 2多重記録スポット行を形成する X軸方向第 2多重記録工程、
以下、同様にして、 X軸方向第 3多重記録スポット行から X軸方向最終多重記録ス ポット行までを、順次並べて形成する工程、
を有してなり、 X軸方向第 1段多重記録スポット行列を形成する第 1段 X軸方向多重 記録工程と、
前記第 1段 X軸方向多重記録工程と同様の第 2段 X軸方向多重記録工程乃至最 終段 X軸方向多重記録工程を繰り返して X軸方向第 2段乃至最終段多重記録スポッ ト行列を形成する工程と、
を有してなり、
前記第 2段 X軸方向多重記録工程乃至最終段 X軸方向多重記録工程は、前記第 1段 X軸方向多重記録工程における、各 X軸方向多重記録スポット行に対して Y軸方 向に、順次、僅かづつ位相をずらして、且つ、最終段 X軸方向多重記録工程までの Y軸方向の位相のずれの総和が、前記 X軸方向多重記録スポット行間の Y軸方向の ピッチと等しくなる直前まで繰り返して記録スポットを形成することを特徴とするホログ ラフィック多重記録方法。
