  • Cooking ovens are known in which seats are provided in their upper or side walls for housing catalytic cells to purify the oven exit air of fats and other aromatic substances present by transforming them into water and carbon dioxide.
  • These known catalytic cells generally consist of a discoidal honeycomb body (or lozenge) of cordierite or alumina clad with a palladium catalyst, or alternatively are formed from metal wool. As the rated operating temperature of said catalysts is higher than the oven operating temperature (200-250°C), these catalysts are of poor efficiency as they do not achieve complete purification.

Cette invention se rapporte à une cellule catalytique pour fours de cuisson, comprenant une chicane (8) en matériau céramique imprégnée d'un catalyseur approprié, se caractérisant en ce qu'un élément de résistance (10, 18) est appliqué sur la surface périmétrique de la cellule.
