Abstract

La présente invention concerne des techniques et des dispositifs permettant de sauver ou de restaurer la prolifération potentielle de cellules hématopoïétiques. Cette invention concerne en particulier des techniques et des dispositifs permettant de sauver et de restaurer le système hématopoïétique d'un sujet à la suite d'une thérapie par rayonnement et/ou d'une chimiothérapie sans qu'il soit nécessaire de transplanter de la moelle épinière. L'implantation de certaines compositions biologiques (tels que de la moelle épinière à faible densité ou que des cellules négatives par lignage) dans une poche ou un sac imperméable aux cellules, dans un animal dont la propres capacité hématopoïétique a été gravement compromise par un traitement de rayonnement et/ou par une chimiothérapie, par exemple, sauve ou restaure la capacité hématopoïétique de cet animal. Ce traitement peut remplacer ou augmenter les transplantations de moelle épinière, offrant de nombreux avantages dans le traitement des maladies hématopoïétiques, en particulier pour des maladies pour lesquelles on administre un traitement de rayonnement et/ou une chimiothérapie, telles que des cancers d'une manière générale et, plus particulièrement des troubles associés au sang tels que les leucémies et des lymphomes
