Abstract

L'invention concerne un générateur de gaz comprenant un appareil sous pression contenant un gaz sous une première pression prédéterminée. Un logement d'initiateur ferme une extrémité de l'appareil sous pression et comporte une ouverture située au niveau de son extrémité intérieure, obturée par un disque à rupture d'initiateur conçu pour se rompre à une deuxième pression prédéterminée, supérieure à la première pression prédéterminée, dans le logement d'initiateur. Un initiateur ou générateur de micro-gaz est disposé à l'intérieur du logement d'initiateur. Une rampe ferme l'autre extrémité de l'appareil sous pression et comporte une ouverture située au niveau de son extrémité intérieure, obturée par un disque à rupture de rampe conçu pour se rompre à une troisième pression prédéterminée, supérieure à la première pression prédéterminée. Lors de l'allumage de l'initiateur ou du générateur de micro-gaz, la pression du gaz dans le logement d'initiateur augmente ou dépasse la deuxième pression prédéterminée pour rompre le disque de rupture d'initiateur et créer une onde de pression acheminée à travers l'appareil sous pression afin de créer une pression localisée au niveau du disque à rupture de rampe, pression égale ou supérieure à la troisième pression prédéterminée, de sorte à rompre le disque à rupture de rampe et permettre l'écoulement d'un gaz frais pressurisé à travers la rampe, avant que le gaz contenu dans l'appareil sous pression soit sensiblement chauffé et pressurisé par l'écoulement gazeux provenant du logement d'initiateur.
