Description

The present invention relates to a nose pad device for spectacle frame, comprising at least one nose pad, a support rod and means of articulation of the nose pad on the support rod. Figures 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B show nose pad devices most commonly encountered on eyeglass frames available commercially. Figures 1A, 1B show a first conventional type of nose pad device, respectively by an exploded view and an assembled view. The device comprises a nose pad 10 and a support rod 20. The rear face of the nose pad 10, or sole 11, has a protrusion 12 having two substantially parallel outer faces 12-1 (only one face being visible in FIG. 1A) as well as an articulation orifice 13 which passes right through the protrusion 12, perpendicular to the substantially parallel faces 12-1. The distal end of the support rod 20 comprises a hollow piece or cap 21, of shape designed to receive the protrusion 12 and comprising two side walls 21-1 substantially parallel. Each wall 21-1 has internal faces, not visible in FIGS. 1A, 1B, intended to coincide with the faces 12-1 of the protrusion 12, and includes a hole 21-2 provided for coincide with the articulation orifice 13 passing through the protrusion 12. The assembly of the device is carried out by introducing the protrusion 12 into the cap 21, and by fixing the two elements together by means of a screw 25. The body of the screw 25 forms an axis of rotation passing through the orifice 13 and the holes 21-2, as shown in FIG. 1B. This first nose pad device has the disadvantage of being long to assemble, of being relatively bulky, and of being of a high cost price if the cost of the screw, handling operations are taken into account. spare parts and screw mounting. On the other hand, the articulation system obtained offers a limited angular movement of the nose pad relative to the support rod, of the order of 5 to 6 °, since the sole 11 abuts in rotation against the cabochon 21. The figures 2A, 2B represent, respectively by an exploded view and an assembled view, a second type of conventional nose pad device. The device comprises, like the previous one, a nose pad 30 and a support rod 40. The rear face of the nose pad, or sole 31, has a protrusion 32 having two substantially parallel faces 32-1 (only one face being visible in FIG. 2A ). Each face 32-1 here has a longitudinal groove or groove 33. The distal end of the support rod 40 comprises a part 41 in the shape of a U forming a sort of clamp and comprising two elastic arms 42, 43. The internal faces of the arms 42, 43, that is to say the faces lying opposite, each have a boss 42-1, 43-1 generally obtained by punching the external faces of the arms. The device is assembled by snap-fitting ("clipping") of the protrusion 32 in the part 41, each boss 42-1, 43-1 cooperating with one of the grooves 33 to maintain the protrusion 32 in the part 41 while ensuring a certain angular movement. This second type of nose pad device has the advantage of being quickly assembled, and is found on a large majority of sunglasses or prescription glasses. However, this device also offers a limited angular movement of the nose pad relative to the support rod, of the order of 5 to 6 °. The present invention relates to a nose pad device which is quick to assemble, at a reasonable cost price, and which makes it possible to obtain an angular clearance of the nose pad clearly greater than that offered by the conventional devices which have just be described. These objectives are achieved by providing a nose pad device for a spectacle frame, comprising at least one nose pad, a support rod and means of articulation of the nose pad on the support rod, in which the distal end of the support rod comprises a substantially T-shaped part comprising two male half-axes of rotation, and in which the rear face of the nose pad comprises two protuberances made of a flexible and elastic material, each protuberance comprising a joint orifice for receiving one of the half-axes, the protuberances having to be spread apart relative to one another for the insertion of the half-axes into the articulation orifices. According to one embodiment, the support rod comprises an end portion which extends beyond half-axes for cooperating with the rear face of the nose pad and forming a rotation stop for the nose pad. According to one embodiment, the end part of the support rod cooperates with a region of the rear face of the nose pad located between the two protuberances. According to one embodiment, the end part of the support rod cooperates by parallel contact with a profile extending between the two protuberances, to form a first soft rotation stop. According to one embodiment, the distal end of the support rod has a section cooperating by parallel contact with a profile extending between the two protrusions, to form a second soft rotation stop. According to one embodiment, the distal end of the support rod is substantially in the shape of a cross, the end part of the support rod extending perpendicular to the half-axes. According to one embodiment, the nose pad has, relative to the support rod, an angular movement of between 15 ° and 45 °. According to one embodiment, the protuberances are made of flexible PVC. According to one embodiment, the rear face of the nose pad forms a sole made of the same material as the protuberances, the protuberances and the sole forming a single piece. According to one embodiment, the support rod is made of metal. According to one embodiment, the support rod is made of plastic. The present invention also relates to a spectacle frame, comprising a nose pad device according to the invention. These objects, characteristics and advantages, as well as others of the present invention, will be explained in more detail in the following description of an exemplary embodiment of a nose pad device according to the invention, given without limitation in relation to the attached figures among which:
De nombreuses formes peuvent être données aux lèvres 52, 53, par exemple le profil recourbé représenté sur les figuresFIGS. 3A, 3B respectively show an exploded view and an assembled view of a nose pad device according to the invention, and FIGS. 4A, 4B are views in longitudinal section, in the direction of its thickness, of one, embodiment of the nose pad device according to the invention, showing two rotational stops. Figures 3A, 3B show, respectively by an exploded view and an assembled view, a nose pad device according to one invention comprising a nose pad 50 and a support rod 60. According to the invention, the rear face of the nose pad 50 , or sole 51, has two protuberances or lips 52, 53 made of a flexible and elastic material. Each lip 52, 53 has an internal face and an external face, the internal faces of the lips being opposite. Each lip 52, 53 has an orifice articulation 52-1, respectively 53-1, which opens onto the internal face of the lip. The orifices 52-1, 53-1 may be through and open onto the external faces of the lips, as shown in FIGS. 3A, 3B, or be non-through and open only through the internal faces. They are aligned along a common drilling axis AA 'which is substantially parallel to the plane of the sole 51 and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the nose pad 50. The support rod 60 has a proximal end 60-1, a distal end 60-2, and a bent central part 60-3 extending between the proximal end 60-1 and the distal end 60-2. The curvature of the part 60-3 is determined so that the nose pad 50 is substantially parallel to the wings of the nose when the proximal end 60-1 is fixed to a spectacle frame. According to the invention, the distal end 60-2 of the support rod comprises a section 61 extending from the bent part 60-3, and two male half-axes 62, 63 substantially perpendicular to the section 61, the assembly forming a part of the support rod which is substantially T-shaped. Preferably, the distal end 60-2 of the support rod also comprises an end part 64 which extends beyond the half-axes 62 , 63. The end portion 64 is aligned here with the section 61, and extends in a direction perpendicular to the half-axes 62, 63. The distal end 60-2 thus has the shape of a cross, the cross being formed by the section 61, the half-axes 62, 63 and the end portion 64. The assembly of the device according to the invention is particularly simple and rapid and consists in spreading the lips 52, 53 in order to insert the male half-axes 62, 63 in the corresponding orifices 52-1, 53-1. The lips are then released and return to their initial position by elastic effect, so that the half-axes 62, 63 are trapped in the orifices 52-1, 53-1, the end part 64 being found housed between the two lips . In order to further facilitate the assembly of the device, the ends of the half-axes 62, 63 can be substantially bevelled, as appears in FIG. 3A with regard to the end of the half-axis 62. The device according to the invention offers significant angular movement of the nose pad relative to the support rod, up to 45 °. In order to limit this movement, the end part 64 abuts against the sole 51 when a certain angular position is reached, and thus forms a rotation stop. The angular movement of the nose pad can be freely determined by choosing the length of the end portion 64, taking into account the distance between the orifices 52-1, 53-1 and the sole 51. FIGS. 4A, 4B are longitudinal sectional views in the thickness direction of the nose pad, illustrating a particular embodiment of the device according to the invention. In this embodiment, a projection 70 having a determined profile is provided between the two lips, to obtain two "soft" stops of rotation determining the maximum angular movement of the nose pad. This angular movement is here chosen of the order of 15 ° to 20 °, which is sufficient in practice to meet the objectives of ergonomics and comfort targeted by the present invention. In FIGS. 4A, 4B, a distinction is made between the lip 53 which is located behind the cutting plane, the bent part 60-3 and the distal part 60-2 of the support rod, formed by the section 61, the half-axes 62, 63 and the end part 64 of the support rod. The average thickness of the sole is represented by a line 54 in dotted lines, which corresponds to the surface of the sole. The protuberance 70 is a kind of longitudinal edge of small thickness which takes place between the two lips, and which extends beyond the line of average thickness 54 of the nose pad, in a direction substantially vertical to the plane of the sole 51. The protrusion 70 has a part 71 substantially parallel to the plane of the sole, and an inclined part 72 which tends towards the line of average thickness 54. FIG. 4A represents a first position of rotation stop of the nose pad. In this position, the section 61 of the distal end of the support rod bears against the part 71 of the protrusion 70, parallel to the latter, and blocks the rotation of the nose pad, thus forming a first stop of rotation. The end part 64 of the support rod extends above the inclined part 72 of the projection 70 but does not cooperate with the latter. Figure 4B shows a second position of rotation stop of the nose pad. In this second position, the section 61 of the distal end of the support rod has an angle of the order of 15 ° to 20 ° relative to the part 71 of the protrusion 70. The end part 64 of the rod support here comes into contact with the inclined portion 72 of the protrusion 70, parallel to it, and blocks the rotation of the nose pad, forming a second rotation stop. The two rotation stops thus obtained are soft stops because the contact between the parts which cooperate to form a stop is a parallel contact, making it possible to avoid deterioration of the surfaces in contact. It will be clear to a person skilled in the art that the end part 64 of the support rod can take various other forms and cooperate in various other ways with the sole 51. The device according to the invention is compact. and an attractive aesthetic. Many shapes can be given to the lips 52, 53, for example the curved profile shown in the figures
(profile on edge), the lips joining in a region not receiving the distal end 60-2 of the support rod, to form a common part 55 of decreasing thickness (Fig. 3A, 3B). The lips 52, 53 are for example made of polymer or elastomer, for example flexible PVC, this material already being used in the prior art for producing the protuberances of the nasal platelets described above. The lips 52, 53 and the sole 51 are preferably made in one piece. The front face of the nose pad 50 may comprise a pad fixed to the sole 51 or may itself be of the same material as the sole. In this case, the entire nose pad 50 is made in one piece. The support rod 60 is made of a metallic material or of a rigid or semi-rigid plastic material. The support rod can be a single piece, as shown in the figures, or an assembled piece. In the second case, the half-axes 62, 63 can for example be made by gluing or welding a small bar transversely to the longitudinal body of the support rod, so as to obtain a T or cross profile (depending on whether a rotation stop is desired or not). The present invention is susceptible of various other variants within the reach of those skilled in the art, in particular as regards the shape and arrangement of the various elements, the materials used and the techniques used to produce these elements.
