Definitions
- the invention relates to a method of indexing in position on the machine floor or the like, such as a machine tool or even a welding robot, as well as an application machine foot.
- FIG. 1 A machine foot according to the state of the art is illustrated in section in attached FIG. 1.
- the machine 1 comprises a frame with a base which rests on the ground generally made of concrete by means of feet such as that illustrated which comprises a socket 4 screwed on the base of the machine and projecting under it.
- the sleeve 4 has a lower end which is received in a conical recess 3 of a sole 2 fixed to the ground by fixing screws not shown and whose function is to distribute the pressure on the ground to avoid punching it.
- the socket 4 after having been screwed / unscrewed until the machine level 1 has been correctly adjusted, is locked on the base of the machine 1 by means of a lock nut 5.
- the cooperation of the lower end the sleeve 4 and the conical recess 3 of the sole 2 allows, under the effect of the weight of the machine 1, automatic alignment of the axis of the sleeve 4 on the axis of the conical recess 3, thus performing an indexing in position of the machine 1 on the ground.
- the sole 2 has a threaded orifice 6 in the center of the conical recess 3 to receive the end of a tie rod 7 the other end of which carries a nut 8 for anchoring which is tightened against the upper end of the sleeve 4 , thus preventing the machine from lifting, for example under the effect of vibrations or of a mass offset out of the support polygon of the machine due to the movement of a movable part thereof.
- Such a machine foot has the drawback of requiring access to the sole in order to be able to fix it to the ground.
- these projecting parts form obstacles preventing an adjoining arrangement of the bases of adjacent machines.
- the feet extend directly under the base, which avoids the aforementioned drawback.
- the machine being previously equipped with the sockets 4 on which the sole 2 is retained by means of the tie rod 7 and the nut 8, it is necessary, after having set up the machine, to locate the position on the ground of the soles, move the machine by separating the soles, fix the latter to the ground in the position previously identified, and replace the machine 1 in position on the soles.
- This type of installation is a long and complex implementation, and requires numerous manipulations of the machine by means of lifting devices of large dimensions adapted to the mass and size of the machine. To avoid these numerous manipulations, it is known to provide in the base of the machine a plurality of passages which each extend opposite one of the orifices of the sole intended to receive a screw for fixing the latter on the ground. .
- the subject of the invention is a method of indexing in position on the machine floor or the like which avoids the aforementioned drawbacks, as well as a machine foot specially provided for the implementation of this method.
- the subject of the invention is more precisely an indexing method in position on the ground of a machine or the like equipped with a foot with a hollow level adjustment socket screwed onto the machine and in support without sliding on a sole in contact with the ground which has an orifice opening into the socket, the method comprising the steps of positioning the machine on the ground, of carrying out in the ground a drilling in the extension of the orifice of the sole using a drilling tool inserted into the sleeve and into the hole in the sole, and to place in the hole thus produced a positioning member which cooperates with the hole in the sole to index it in position on the ground.
- the method of the invention therefore requires only a single bore to index the sole, and therefore the sleeve and the machine, in position on the ground.
- the drilling being carried out substantially in the axis of the sleeve, it matters little whether or not the sole has rotated during positioning of the machine.
- the method of the invention is very simple and quick to implement (drilling by foot), and does not require any manipulation of the machine other than its final positioning.
- the positioning member is fixed to the ground, preferably by sealing. The fixing to the ground of the positioning member allows its use not only as an indexing member, but also as an anchoring member to the ground of the machine, for example by bringing a nut on a threaded end thereof.
- the invention also relates to a machine foot making application, comprising a hollow socket with a base forming a sole, the base comprising an orifice for cooperating with a positioning member projecting from the ground. It is indeed advantageous to provide a bottom that is intimately secured to the sleeve, rather than a separate sole, which avoids both the risk of loss and the risk of improper positioning of the sole when the machine. Like the sole, the bottom will have sufficient surface to transmit the weight of the machine to the ground under acceptable pressure. According to a preferred embodiment, the bottom is made integrally with the socket. According to a particular arrangement, the positioning member is fixed to the ground and has a threaded free end to receive a nut for anchoring the sleeve which bears on an internal face of the bottom of the socket.
- the machine 100 comprises a base of which a part of the structure can be seen in the form of an I-beam.
- the base is equipped with feet such as the one illustrated which includes a socket 104 screwed onto the lower wing of the I-beam.
- the sleeve 104 has a lower end which has a bottom 102 made integrally with the sleeve and directly in contact with the ground.
- the bottom 102 forms a sole integrated into the sleeve, which saves a part and avoids the risk of loss or incorrect positioning of the sole relative to the sleeve when the machine is put in place.
- the bottom may not be integral with the sleeve, but attached to the latter so as to be intimately connected thereto, for example by bonding or welding.
- the bottom has a central orifice 106 opening into the socket 104.
- the machine 100 provided with its feet is first of all placed on the ground in the desired final position. Once the machine has been positioned, the level of the machine 100 is adjusted relative to the ground by screwing / unscrewing the sockets 104, then the sockets 104 are each locked on the machine 100 using a lock nut 105.
- a hole 112 is then made in the ground in the extension of the orifice 106 to the by means of a drill 110 (shown in dotted lines) introduced into the socket 104 and into the orifice 106.
- the orifice 106 then acts as a guide for the drill 110.
- the beam of the machine has a passage 111 on its upper wing to allow the passage of the drill 110.
- the floor will also include a passage opposite the socket 104, the passage in the floor can then be closed by a hatch. It is possible, in order to improve the guidance of the drill 110, to provide an additional guide on the upper wing of the I.
- a tie rod 107 is added so that it extends through the orifice 106.
- the tie rod 107 is fixed in the bore 112, for example here by sealing with adhesive mortar.
- the establishment of the tie rod 107 is facilitated by the fact that it has a free end which protrudes widely from the bottom of the sleeve 104 inside thereof, allowing easy grip of the tie rod 107 when it is put in place.
- the tie rod 107 has, at least at the orifice 106, a diameter adjusted to the diameter of the orifice 106 so that the tie rod 107 acts as a positioning member for the sleeve 104, and therefore for the machine 100, by indexing it on the ground in a position defined by the tie rod 107 itself.
- a nut 108 is screwed onto the free threaded end of the tie rod 107 which bears on an internal face of the bottom 102, directly, or, as illustrated, by means of a washer support.
- the tie rod 107 and the nut 108 thus prevent the bush 104 from lifting from the ground, so that the machine 100 is no longer only indexed, but anchored to the ground. It should be noted that the method of the invention can be implemented with the machine base of the state of the art illustrated in FIG. 1.
- the nut 8 and the tie rod 7 are removed, a hole is made in the ground in the extension of the orifice 6 of the sole 2 by means of a drill bit introduced into the socket 4 and the orifice 6, and a new tie is fixed in this bore, similar to the tie 107 of the foot of the invention, which then cooperates with the orifice 6 to index the sole 2 in position on the ground.
- the indexing in position of the sole 2 causes, by the conical cooperation of the sole 2 and the sleeve 4, the indexing of the sleeve 4, and therefore of the machine.
- this new tie has a free threaded end of sufficient length to protrude from the socket, in order to bring there an anchor nut for the socket which bears on the upper end of the socket 4 to anchor the machine on the ground.
- the implementation of the method of the invention therefore does not require a socket with an integral or added bottom, although, as explained, it is more advantageous to use a bottom intimately secured to the socket.
- the tie rod can be fixed to the ground by other methods than a seal, for example by being screwed into a fixing dowel added in the hole. If one is interested only in indexing in position without seeking anchoring, the tie may then be chosen ⁇ reduced length but nevertheless sufficient to cooperate with the orifice of the sole, or the bottom acting sole. In this case, it is not necessary to fix the tie rod to the ground, which can simply be slid to fit or force in the hole.
