The invention relates to a device for spraying or dispensing liquid by means of a depressible pump spray head which is attached to a container and conveys the liquid contained in the container out of the container through a hose.
Stand der Technik:State of the art:
Pump spray containers have been known for a long time and are used to spray different liquids, in particular in the field of cosmetics for spraying body lotions, sunscreens and hair setting agents, in the field of household cleaners for spraying glass, plastic, lime and toilet detergents, etc ., in the field of shoe care for spraying shoe care products, and in the field of pharmacy for spraying disinfectants or insect repellents. In contrast to propellant spray cans, pump spray containers are not under pressure and are therefore not filled with a propellant gas in addition to the actual spray material. In the container that contains the liquid to be sprayed, a pump spray head is screwed or plugged in, at the lower end of which there is a connection into which a plastic suction tube is inserted. The other opening of the suction tube usually extends to the bottom of the spray container and, provided that the container is held in an upright position, that is to say perpendicularly with the spray head upwards, into the liquid to be sprayed. By actuating the spray head, a certain amount of the spray material is atomized through a spray nozzle located in the spray head, provided there is already sufficient liquid in the suction tube and in the spray head. When the spray head is then released, a negative pressure is created at the lower end of the spray head, which causes new liquid to be sucked in through the suction tube. As long as the lower opening of the tube is immersed in the liquid to be sprayed when the spray head is actuated, there is a liquid column in it up to the spray head and liquid is sprayed with each actuation of the spray head and new liquid is sucked out of the container when it is released.
Seifenspender, welche einen Pumpkopf besitzen, funktionieren vom Prinzip her gleich, nur versprüht der Pumpkopf den Inhalt des Seifenspenders nicht, er gibt ihn in flüssiger Form ab.Soap dispensers that have a pump head work in principle the same way, only the pump head does not spray the contents of the soap dispenser, it dispenses it in liquid form.
As long as a pump spray container is held vertically with the spray head upwards during use and the lower opening of the suction tube is immersed in the liquid to be sprayed, the spraying device works without problems. However, as soon as the container is held at an angle, horizontally or overhead, i.e. vertically with the spray head pointing downwards, depending on the level of the container, the lower opening of the suction tube may no longer enter the liquid in the container dips. As a result, air is sucked in instead of liquid and, as a result, no more liquid is sprayed during subsequent operations. The spraying process is interrupted. To restart the spraying process, the spray head must be actuated several times in succession while the lower opening of the suction tube is immersed in the spray material. The less content the spray container has, the more likely this problem will arise. Especially with products that are to be applied to your own body with the help of pump spray containers (eg sun protection sprays, body sprays), this leads to considerable restrictions in handling. The spraying process is constantly interrupted because the container is held in such a way that the lower opening of the suction tube no longer dips into the spray material. This disadvantage can only be effectively avoided by spraying on another person.
The object of the invention is to provide pump spray containers which can dispense liquid regardless of the position of the container.
This object is solved by the characterizing features of the claims.
What is achieved by the device is that the handling of pump spray containers becomes more convenient and problem-free and the spraying process runs more reliably. A pump spray container can be used in any position (e.g. upside down) without inevitably causing spray misfires.
The components used are simple and inexpensive to manufacture and process and do not significantly increase the production costs compared to a conventional spraying device. The handling advantage gained is considerable. The occurrence of spray misfires is significantly reduced.
Es zeigenAn embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawings and will be described in more detail below. Show it

In contrast to conventional pump spray devices, in which the liquid is sucked directly through the lower opening of a hose or suction tube 2 when the spray head is actuated, this opening is closed in the device described here. This closure 5 can be brought about, for example, by welding or gluing the suction tube opening. Along the tube 2, various small holes 4 are made in the lower section thereof, so the suction tube is perforated in the lower section. The number and diameter of the holes can vary.
In the present invention, an additional component comes into play compared to conventional pump spray devices, namely a liquid-storing part or sponge 3. This sponge should consist of a material that is as absorbent as possible. It is hollowed out in the longitudinal direction so that it can be attached to the lower part of the suction tube 2. The entire spray device together with the attached sponge is screwed into the spray container 6, so that when the spray container 6 is held up, the sponge 3 is located within the liquid to be sprayed, that is to say is partially or completely below the liquid level 7 and is therefore present with the liquid present in the container soak. When the pump spray head 1 is actuated, the liquid is now sucked out of the sponge 3 through the holes 4 in the lower part of the suction tube 2, while the sponge 3 continuously absorbs new liquid as long as it is immersed in the liquid. The actual advantage of the invention comes into play when the sponge 3 no longer dips into the spray material due to its position depending on the current fill level of the spray container. In this case, liquid can continue to be dispensed without problems as long as there is sufficient liquid in the sponge 3. The number of sprays that are possible in this state (sponge not immersed) depends on various factors (e.g. diameter and number of holes in the spray tube, consistency of the spray material, geometric dimensions, size and nature of the sponge). Depending on the absorbency of the sponge 3, it also absorbs sufficient liquid if it is only partially and only briefly immersed in the liquid to be sprayed. The optimal design of the spray device is to be determined experimentally for the spray container 6 in question and the spray material in question.
A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the hose is Y-shaped in the lower region and in two separate parts, on each of which a liquid-storing part is attached, and that a switch is located at the fork, which causes that Operating the pump spray head only causes suction in one of the two parts.
