Abstract
The invention relates to an improved advertisement board (1), that is placed parallel alongside lanes for fast moving vehicles (6) at a distance A, in which the length L of the advertisement board (1) can be more than 100 metres for building up an advertisement message, for which the advertisement boards (1) is successively divided in section (2) in order to create an advertisement film or clip.
Description
IMPROVED ADVERTISEMENT BOARD (BILLBOARD) ALONG LANES FOR VEHICLES WITH PASSENGERS
The present invention relates to a device constructed as an elongated board or billboard for showing mostly- advertising texts for products or services from all kinds of market parties or authorities, shortly called an advertisement board, in which the -mentioned advertisement board can mainly stand along a railroad, highway and/or runways at airports, in which the -vehicle with occupants or passengers usually passes such an advertisement billboard at high speed at a certain distance. Advertisement boards alongside roads and railroads are generally known and are provided with very short advertisement texts or messages wh-ich can be understood in approximately one second and through which especially the driver's attention is not distracted from the traffic too much. Further the mentioned billboards are mostly placed at a right angle relative to the road or railway, so that the reading time is also very short. Shortly, the known billboards for advertisements or announcements have disadvantages especially with regard to the reading time, which is a disadvantage for especially the passengers of vehicles because they usually enjoy all kinds of messages and advertisements which they see on the way. Due to the short reading time no building up can be included in the advertisements or messages, through which the offered message is less interesting, especially for the passengers. The aim of the present invention is to provide such an improved board for especially advertisements and less for announcements, of which the aforementioned disadvantages are eliminated and which are pleasantly readable or
observable, especially in building up messages for passengers of vehicles which have a considerable speed. For this purpose an improved advertisement board alongside lanes for vehicles with passengers is further developed in a very inventive way, characterised in that the mentioned advertisement board is placed parallel to the traffic flow and has an elongated rectangular shape with height H and length L and is mostly attached to a supporting construction and with that is placed at a distance A from the passing passengers, in which the passing speed V is mostly faster than 20 metres per second and the reading time at least 3 seconds, preferably more, in which the length L of the advertisement board is divided lengthwise in sections for separate successive pictures, in which the mentioned advertisement board is illuminated or can be provided with illumination elements or a complete electronic (digital) board with sections, in which the mentioned advertisement board is made sufficiently stable and rigid from a suitable construction material. The advantage is a whole new intriguing way of bringing mainly advertisement messages. Further, the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that the mentioned reading time is approximately 5 seconds and that the mentioned passing speed is 30 metres per second, through which the length L of the advertisement board is approximately 150 metres, in which the height H is approximately 2,5 metres and the distance A can be 100 metres, and that the mentioned successive pictures in the sections are an advertisement or announcement. The advantages are that actually an advertisement film or clip is created, which the passengers find very
instructive and in which film one can add a lot more than a single advertisement. Furthermore, the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that on the mentioned sections an array of computer controlled points of lights are applied for forming advertisements or announcements in the linear direction of the advertisement board. The advantage is that the message is clearly seen in the dark or in dark weather. The preferred construction of the invention will be described by way of example, and with reference to the accompanying drawing. In which: Fig. 1 shows a view of an advertisement board according to a preferred embodiment of the invention; and
Fig. 2 shows a cross-section over the line II-II in figure 1.
Figure 1 shows the advertisement board 1 in a preferred embodiment of the invention, in which the board 1 for advertisements and announcements has a length L and a height (reading height) H, for which preferred dimensions are mentioned in the claims. The advertisement board 1 is in linear direction L divided in sections 2 for, for example, building up an advertisement message. The advertisement board is constructed of a steel frame 3, 4 for transferring, for example wind load onto the supporting construction 5. Figure 2 shows a cross-section over the line II-II of figure 1 and with that the vehicle 6 with passengers 10 at distance A parallel to the advertisement board.
The supporting construction can be fastened on rammed armoured concrete plates 7 in the ground 8 with anchor bolts and nuts 9 according to legal standards. Finally it has to be emphasized, that the above description constitutes a preferred embodiment of the invention, but that further variations and modifications are still possible without departing the scope of this patent document .
Claims
1. Device constructed as an elongated board or billboard for showing mostly advertising texts for products or services from all kinds of market parties or authorities, shortly called an advertisement board, in which the mentioned advertisement board can mainly stand along a railroad, highway and/or runways at airports, in which the vehicle with occupants or passengers usually passes such an advertisement billboard at high speed at a certain distance, characterized in that, the mentioned advertisement board (1) is placed parallel to the traffic flow and has an elongated rectangular shape with height H and length L and is mostly attached to a supporting construction (5) and with that is placed at a distance A from the passing passengers (10) , in which the passing speed V is mostly faster than 20 metres per second and the reading time at least 3 seconds, preferably more, in which the length L of the advertisement board (1) is divided lengthwise in sections (2) for separate successive pictures, in which the mentioned advertisement board (1) is illuminated or can be provided with illumination elements or a complete electronic (digital) board with sections (2) , in which the mentioned advertisement board (1) is made sufficiently stable and rigid from a suitable construction material .

Device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that, the mentioned reading time is approximately 5 seconds and that the mentioned passing speed is 30 metres per second, through which the length L of the advertisement board, is approximately 150 metres, in which the height H is approximately 2,5 metres and the distance A can be 100 metres .
3. Device as claimed in claims 1 and 2, characterized in that, the mentioned successive pictures in the sections (2) are an advertisement or announcement.
4. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that, on the mentioned sections (2) an array of computer controlled points of lights are applied for forming advertisements or announcements in a linear direction of the advertisement board (1) .
5. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that, the surface of the mentioned advertisement board (1) is provided with liquid displays, which are computear controlled for showing an advertisement message or announcement in full.
6. Device as claimed in aforementioned claims, characterized in that, the mentioned advertisement board (1) with supports (5) is constructed of steel profiles and steel plate, which can be painted in several colours and can further be provided with company colours and logos .
