Abstract

Procédé de fabrication de fonte dans un réacteur de fusion tel qu'un haut­-fourneau, dans lequel on introduit au moins du minerai de fer, un comburant et un combustible de manière à fondre le minerai et obtenir de la fonte comportant au plus 5 % de carbone, dans lequel on récupère à la sortie du réacteur des gaz dits de haut-fourneau comportant de 15 à 45 % en volume de CO, le complément étant constitué essentiellement d'azote, d'hydrogène, de divers hydrocarbures et d' un faible pourcentage d'argon, puis on sépare le C02 du reste du gaz de haut-fourneau, ce dernier étant envoyé vers des moyens d'utilisation dudit gaz. Le CO2 est séparé du gaz de haut-fourneau de manière à obtenir un courant gazeux de dioxyde de carbone, ledit courant gazeux étant ensuite liquéfié à l'aide de moyens de liquéfaction adaptés, des moyens d'épuration étant prévus de manière à obtenir un dioxyde de carbone qui, après liquéfaction, contient au plus 1 % poids de CO et au plus 500 ppm... de produits contenant du soufre, ledit gaz liquéfié étant ensuite transporté à l'aide de moyens de transport adaptés vers un puits de pétrole qui comporte au moins une entrée et une sortie, le dioxyde de carbone liquéfié étant ensuite comprimé jusqu'à une pression supérieure à environ 70 x 105 Pa, puis injecté à l'entrée dudit puits de pétrole, de manière à se propager dans le puits et faciliter ainsi l'extraction dudit pétrole.
