Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for a motor vehicle intended for measuring the current flowing in an electric cable. More specifically, the invention aims to measure the current flowing in an electric cable having a free end on which is crimped a terminal, such as a battery terminal. It is already known to measure the current by means of a current sensor having a substantially annular body defining a passage section in which the cable is received. However, the presence of a terminal makes it necessary to increase the cross-section of the body of the sensor, which is then no longer suitable for receiving the cable, which may adversely affect the quality of the measurements. To solve this problem, it has been proposed to crimp the terminal after insertion of the sensor. However, this solution complicates logistics, risks posing quality problems and increasing the cost.

The sleeve 8 then has a bore 10 whose diameter corresponds substantially to that of the electric cable 2 which it traps.
