Abstract

When finishing the welded part, the process supporting board of hand grinder contacts the working surface by rolling to ensure stable support. Under this stable state, the welding bead is promptly processed by cutting to considerably reduce the working time. And viewing part is formed at the front and rear center of process supporting board which is installed at the lower part of head of hand grinder. The viewing part penetrates the above center so that the worker can visually ascertain the welding bead covered by process supporting board while finishing the welded part for higher work efficiency. And the welding bead can be easily cut horizontally as well as vertically to maximize the practicability.

Description

CUTTING APPARATUS FOR WELDED PART
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention:
This invention is about cutting apparatus for welded part. That is to say, when
finishing the welded part, the process supporting board of hand grinder contacts the
working surface by rolling to ensure stable support. Under this stable state, the welding
bead is promptly processed by cutting to considerably reduce the working time. And
viewing part is formed at the front and rear center of process supporting board which is
installed at the lower part of head of hand grinder. The viewing part penetrates the
above center so that the worker can visually ascertain the welding bead covered by
process supporting board while finishing the welded part for higher work efficiency.
And the welding bead can be easily cut horizontally as well as vertically to maximize
the practicability.
Description of the Prior Art: Traditionally, when building ship at the shipyard, convex welding bead formed at the welded part between steel plates of plane surface or curved surface is finished to be eliminated by grinder on which grinding whetstone is installed. In most case, this whetstone is placed on the circular revolving axis which is installed in the head whose front terminal is formed in curve. However, as the conventional grinder cuts little quantity when grinding whetstone contacts the welding bead one time, repetitious grind is required, resulting in considerable inconvenience and long working time. Moreover, when eliminating the welding bead formed at the welded part by the
conventional grinder, only part of grinding whetstone combined to the grinder contacts
the welding bead and the rest floats in the air. Thus, due to the vibration caused by the
friction between grinding whetstone and welding bead, the grinder itself vibrates or
agitates and the welding bead is not regularly eliminated in uniform height, resulting in
rugged surface.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION This invention is about cutting apparatus for welded part. To explain in details,
hand grinder with the following feature is prepared; supporting hand grip at one side
and revolving axis protruded at lower part in the head part formed by cutting at the
forefront. Conical cutter having lateral cutting blade at lateral outer circumference is
combined to the revolving axis of this hand grinder. Process supporting board having
rolling parts such as roller or ball at front and rear side of lower part is installed at the
lower part of head in attachable and detachable type. When finishing the welded parts,
the process supporting board of hand grinder contacts the working surface by rolling.
Under this stable state, the welding bead is promptly processed by cutting to
considerably reduce the working time. And viewing part is formed at the front and rear
center of process supporting board which is installed at the lower part of head of hand
grinder. The viewing part penetrates the above center so that the worker can visually
ascertain the welding bead covered by process supporting board while finishing the
welded part for higher work efficiency. As the lower cutting blade is circularly and slantly formed at the lower part of cutter which is combined to the revolving axis of hand grinder, welding bead that cannot be easily processed by lateral cutting blade can
be easily cut in vertical direction and the practicality is maximized. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 is disassembled slant figure which shows the cutting apparatus for welded part by this invention.
Figure 2 is lateral cross-section which shows the assembly and use of the cutting apparatus for welded part by this invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
To solve the above problem, this invention takes the following points as
technological task; when finishing the welded part, the process supporting board of
hand grinder contacts the working surface by rolling to ensure stable support. Under
this stable state, the welding bead is promptly processed by cutting to considerably
reduce the working time. And viewing part is formed at the front and rear center of
process supporting board which is installed at the lower part of head of hand grinder.
The viewing part penetrates the above center so that the worker can visually ascertain
the welding bead covered by process supporting board while finishing the welded part
for higher work efficiency. And the welding bead can be easily cut horizontally as well
as vertically to maximize the practicability.
To solve the above technological task, this invention is composed of the
following features; revolving axis run by motor is protrudently installed in the head
which has supporting hand grip at one side, being formed in curve at the front terminal;
hand grinder with supporting board combining part is combined to the outer lower part
of above head; air hole of hand grinder is formed at the center and at the upper outer
circumference of this air hole, combining part to which the supporting board combining part of above hand grinder is combined is protrudently formed; at both front and rear sides of lower surface, process supporting board on which rolling part is installed in freely revolvable state and conical cutter with lateral cutting blade is
combined to the lateral outer circumference.
Moreover, the another demonstrative case of this invention to achieve the above
technological task has the following features; viewing part is formed at the front and
rear center of above process supporting board and lower cutting blade is circularly and
slantly formed at the lower part of above cutter.
COMPOSITION AND FUNCTION OF THE INVENTION
On the basis of figure 1 or 5, this invention is explained in details in order to
achieve the above purpose,
Figure 1 is disassembled slant figure which shows the cutting apparatus for welded part
by this invention, Figure 2 is lateral cross-section which shows the assembly and use of
the cutting apparatus for welded part by this invention,
Figure 3 is slant figure which shows the cutter used for the cutting apparatus for welded
part by this invention, Figure 4 is plane figure which shows another demonstrative case
of this invention and Figure 5 is slant figure which shows cutter used for another
demonstrative case of this invention.
As shown in figure 1 and figure 2, the cutting apparatus for welded part by this invention is composed of the following parts; revolving axis run by motor is protrudently installed in the head which has supporting hand grip(6) at one side, being formed in curve at the front terminal; hand grinder(2) with supporting board combining part(4) is combined to the outer lower part of above head(3); air hole(8) of hand
grinder(2)is formed at the center and at the upper outer circumference of this air
hole(8), combining part(9) to which the supporting board combining part(4) of above
hand grinder(2) is combined is protrudently formed; at both front and rear sides of
lower surface, process supporting board(7) on which rolling part(10)is installed in
freely revolvable state and conical cutter(12) with lateral cutting blade(12a) is
combined to the lateral outer circumference.
Besides the composition of generally used hand grinder, this hand grinder has
the following features; supporting board combining part(4) with process supporting
board(7); cutter(12) can be combined by fixing key(7) and fixing bolt(l 8).
The above process supporting board (7)is constituted as follows; installing
groove(15)is formed at both front and rear sides so that rolling parts(lθ) such as roller
or ball are protrudently installed at lower part in freely revolvable state; at the upper part
of rolling part(lθ) inserted and installed in this installation groove(15) is fixed and
installed cover for prevent secession(lβ).
As shown in figure 2, the attachable and detachable combining structure of above hand grinder(2) and process supporting board(7)is constituted as follows; after the head(3) of hand grinder(2) is inserted into the combining part(9) of process supporting board(7), it is combined by the combining bolts(14) which are fastened by penetrating both sides of combining part(9); by unfastening or fastening the combining bolts(14) fastened to the both sides of combining part(9), hand grinder freely moves up and down to adjust the height of cutter(12). Moreover, besides combining method by
the above combining bolt(14), various combining structures such as screw jointing
method, pin jointing method, etc. can be applied to the attachable and detachable
structure of process supporting board(7) of above hand grinder(2). As shown in figure 3, the cutter(12) combined to the revolving axis(5) of above
hand grinder(2) is conical and cutter with lateral cutting blade(12a) at lateral outer
circumference is used.
As shown in figure 4, another demonstrative case of this invention is
constituted as follows; when finishing welded part at the front and rear center of the
above process supporting board(7), the viewing part(l la)(l lb) is formed in penetration
so that the welding bead(20) covered by process supporting board(7) can be visually
checked .
As shown in figure 5, another demonstrative case of this invention is
constituted as follows; lower cutting blade(12b) that can cut welding bead vertically is
circularly and slantly formed at the lower part of above cutter(12).
The functional relation of cutting apparatus for welded part by this invention
constituted as above can be explained as follows.
When finishing welded part by the cutting apparatus for welded part of this invention, as shown in figure 2, after attaching process supporting board(7) which is installed at head(3) of hand grinder(2) to the working surface on which welding bead(20) is formed, if cutting apparatus(l) is slowly moved to the direction of welding, the cutter(12) combined to the revolving axis(5) of hand grinder(2) cuts the welding
bead(20).
As the hand grinder(2) of above cutting apparatus(l) maintains stable
supporting state while being rolled at working surface(21) and 4 points by rolling
part(lθ) which is installed in freely revolvable state at both the front and rear sides of
lower part of process supporting board(7), welding bead(20) can be easily and
promptly cut at uniform height simply by moving cutting apparatus(l) on the working
surface(21) where welding bead(20) is formed in the direction of formation of welding
bead(20). The process supporting board(7) installed at the hand grinder(2) of cutting
apparatus for welded part by this invention protects workers by preventing the
scattering of metal chips while cutting welding bead(20) by cutter(12).
According to another demonstrative case of this invention, when finishing
welded part, the worker, as shown in figure 4, can visually check the welding bid (20)
covered by process supporting board(7) through viewing part(l la)(l lb) which
penetrates the front and rear center of above process supporting board(7). Thus, the
work can be done much faster and easier.
According to another demonstrative case of this invention, when finishing welded part, if it is required to cut the welding bead which is higher than the gap between the lower surface of process supporting board(7) formed by the rolling part(lθ) installed at the bottom of process supporting board (7) and working surface, as shown in figure 5, welding bead can be vertically cut by lower cutting blade(12b)
which is circularly and slantly formed at the lower part of above cutter(12). Thus,
welding bead that cannot be easily processed by lateral cutting blade(12a) can be easily
cut and the practicality of cutting apparatus is still increased.

CLAIMSWHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
1. Hand grinder(2); supporting hand grip(6) at one side and revolving axis(5) run by motor is protruded at lower part in the head(3) formed by cutting at the forefront and supporting board combining part(4) is formed at outer lower part of above head(3)
Process supporting board(7); installed in attachable and detachable type to the
supporting board combining part(4) of above hand grinder(2); air hole penetrated by
revolving axis (5) of hand grinder(2) is formed at the center; combining part(9) wo
which the supporting board combining part(4) of hand grinder(2) is combined is
protrudently formed at the upper outer circumference of this air hole(8); at both sides of
the front and rear lower part, rolling part(lθ) is installed in freely revolvable state,
Cutting apparatus for welded part; combined at terminal of revolving axis of above hand grinder(2); conical cutter(12) with lateral cutting blade(12a) at lateral outer circumference.
2. With regard to the claim 1, the cutting apparatus for welded part has viewing part(lla)(llb) which penetrates the front and rear center of above process supporting board (7).
3. With regard to the claim 1 and claim 2, the cutting apparatus for welded part has lower cutting blade (12b) which is formed circularly and slantly at the lower part of above cutter (12).
