Description

Non-rotating emblem indication unit fixed to a wheel cap
TECHNICAL FIELD The present utility model relates to an emblem indication unit fixed to a wheel cap for a vehicle, and more particularly, to an emblem indication unit which is provided on a central portion of the outside of a wheel cap and does not rotate even when the wheel cap rotates.
BACKGROUND ART A wheel cap for a vehicle is a cover fixed to the side of an automobile wheel, and an emblem indication unit of the vehicle is fixed to a central portion of the outside of the wheel cap. In general, the emblem indication unit is fixed to a central portion of the outside of the wheel cap for the vehicle. Therefore, there is a problem in that the advertising effect of a vehicle's name or manufacturer's name represented by the emblem cannot be achieved since the emblem indication unit rotates together with the wheel when the vehicle is running. A number of utility models have been proposed to solve the problem. Typical examples of utility models include the Korean Utility Model Registration No. 311911 and the Korean Utility Model Registration No.
311926. FIG. 1 is a representative drawing of the Korean Utility Model Registration No. 311911. An insertion hole 11 is provided on a central portion of the outside of a wheel cap 10 for a vehicle. Bearing means 20 is inserted into the insertion hole 11. A logo disc 30 which is combined with the bearing means 20 is attached on the outside of the bearing means 20. A weight member 32 is provided to protrude from a lower portion of the inside of the logo disc 30. The weight member 32 has a function of holding the logo disc 30 in its fixed position at any time even when the vehicle is running. FIG. 2 is a representative drawing of the Korean Utility Model
Registration No. 311926. A hole is provided on an inner portion of the outside of a wheel cap 43. A bearing 45 is provided on a central portion of the hole. An advertising plate 44 combined with the bearing 45 is attached on the outside of the bearing 45. A magnetic body 47 is fixed to each of the advertising plate 44 and the wheel cap 43. Since the magnetic bodies 47 fixed to both of the advertising plate 44 and the wheel cap 43 are fixed to face each other, magnetism prevents the advertising plate 44 from rotating together with the wheel cap 43 when the vehicle is running. In the aforementioned utility models, the bearings 20 and 45 are commonly employed as combining means with the wheel caps 10 and 43 to prevent the logo disc 30 or the advertising plate 44 from rotating. Therefore, there have been problems in that their production costs are high and vibration and noise may arise owing to the increasing rotational velocity of the bearing when the vehicle is running at high speed. In addition, there is a problem in that its productivity decreases owing to the working hours spent on placing the bearing on a wheel cap for a vehicle.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present utility model provides a non-rotating emblem indication unit fixed to a wheel cap for a vehicle capable of fabricating the wheel cap for the vehicle to which the non-rotating emblem indication unit with price competitiveness is fixed by greatly reducing production cost of the emblem indication unit, improving its productivity by simplifying its fixing method, and minimizing noise in an emblem plate when the vehicle is running at high speed. According to an aspect of the present utility model, there is provided a non-rotating emblem indication unit comprising: a disc-shaped emblem plate which has a weight member on a portion of its rear side and a plurality of rollers on end portions of its rear side in a circumferential direction; a ring- shaped case which has a roller groove on its inner circumferential side and a plurality of holders on its rear side in a circumferential direction; a rear cover which covers the rear side of the case; and a holder support which is separated from the rear side of the case by a predetermined distance and supports the plurality of holders. It is preferable that the weight member is provided so that the rear side of the emblem plate may protrude in a predetermined shape. In addition, it is preferable that the weight member comprises a symmetric weight member bag, the central portion of which protrudes downwards on a portion of the rear side of the emblem plate, and a liquid substance injected into the weight member bag. In addition, the roller is made of synthetic resin.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Exemplary embodiments according to the present utility model will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Like reference numerals in the drawings denote like elements. FIGS. 3 and 4 are perspective views showing a non-rotating emblem indication unit according to an embodiment of the present utility model. A wheel cap for a vehicle comprises an emblem plate 110 on a central portion of its front side, a case 120 combined with a roller on a circumferential portion of the emblem plate 110, a rear cover 130 covering the rear side of the case 120, and a holder support 140 fixing a holder of the case 120. The emblem plate 110 has an emblem on its front side, a weight member 112 protruded on a portion of its rear side, and three rollers 114 on end portions of its rear side in a circumferential direction which are inserted by roller shafts 115. Each of the rollers 114 is made of synthetic resin. The case 120 has the shape of a ring. The ring-shaped case 120 has the shape of a dome which protrudes forwards on its front side. The ring-shaped case 120 also has a concave roller groove 122 on its inner circumferential side in a circumferential direction. The ring-shaped case 120 also has five holders 124 on its rear side which protrude along the circumferential direction. Each of the holders 124 has a protruding portion on its end portion to fix the emblem indication unit 100 to a wheel cap. In addition, a step groove 126 is provided on the inner circumferential side of the rear side of the case 120. The rear cover 130 has the shape of a disc. A step portion 136 is provided on the circumferential side of the rear cover 130 and combined with the step groove 126 of the case 120. The holder support 140 has five concave cuts 142 on its circumferential side in a circumferential direction, whereby five support portions 144 are provided to protrude. The combination between each element of the emblem indication unit according to the present utility model is as follows. The emblem plate 110 is inserted into the inside of the case 120 so that three rollers 114 on the emblem plate 110 can be combined with the roller groove 122 of the case 120. Next, the rear cover 130 is combined with the case 120 so that the step portion 136 on the rear cover 130 can be inserted into the step groove 126 on the case 120. Next, the holder support 140 is combined with the rear side of the case 120 so that five support portions 144 on the holder support 140 can support the inside of five holders 124. FIG. 5 shows the combination of the non-rotating emblem indication unit 100 having the aforementioned structure according to the present utility model with a wheel cap 200 for a vehicle. The non-rotating emblem indication unit 100 is fixed to the wheel cap 200 in such a manner that protruding portions on end portions of five holders 124 are fixed to a step portion 202 on a central portion of the inside of the wheel cap 200. The holder support 140 supports the holder 124 from its inner circumferential side to prevent the holder 124 from breaking away. As a result of the combination of the non-rotating emblem indication unit 100 with the wheel cap 200, the case 120 of the non-emblem indication unit 100 rotates together with the wheel cap 200, while the emblem plate 110 will not rotate owing to the eccentricity of the weight member 112 and the rotation of the roller 114 as the roller groove 122 of the case 120 is combined with the roller 114 of the emblem plate 110. It is therefore possible to obtain advertising effect by using an emblem since the emblem plate 110 does not rotate even when a vehicle is running. Meanwhile, there is a problem that the emblem plate 110 may tremble owing to rolling friction caused by the contact of the roller 114 with the roller groove 122. In order to solve this problem, it is preferable to greatly increase the eccentricity of the emblem plate 110 by controlling the weight of the weight member 112. FIG. 6 shows the non-rotating emblem indication unit 100 combined with the wheel cap 200. FIG. 7 shows a wheel 300 for a vehicle comprising the wheel cap 200 to which the non-rotating emblem indication unit 100 is fixed. FIG. 8 is a rear view showing the emblem plate 110 according to another embodiment of the present utility model. Unlike the weight member 112 protruded on the rear side of the emblem plate 110, a symmetric weight member bag 112a, the central portion of which protrudes downwards, is fixed on a portion of the rear side of the emblem plate 110. The weight member bag 112a also includes a liquid substance 112b inside. Examples of the liquid substance 112b include mercury, antifreeze, and so on. While the present utility model has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. The scope of the present utility model should be defined not by the above described embodiments but by the following claims and its equivalences.
